I don't know the legalities of explorating abandoned places. However, when you find such beautiful antique treasures such as marble topped wash basins and beautiful antique furniture, pictures, artifacts, etc. that should be saved for preservation and future generations admiration. I'm wondering is there not a way for you to work with local historians to help save them?

As a mid century collector and dealer, my heart absolutely skipped a beat! What an incredible treasure trove! What a shame it is just sitting there rotting. Also, I'm not sure about there, but in America there is a similar blue they used and it was referred to as "Haint Blue". It was meant to keep bad spirits away.

As it has had looters what were they looking for? There were many valuable things to have taken. I do not understand?

My comment mirrors yours, I think it’s a shame that all these pieces of history will be crushed beneath the rubble when the rest of the house comes down. I’d rather have donated to a museum or sold to a collector if it was my legacy.

I would have thought that when someone dies that a government agency would search out any relatives, no matter how distant. To have nobody who would care about the family who lived here, for the place itself, the property is so sad. Everything that must have meant so much to the owners just left to rot. Can’t understand it. You do great explores. Thank you very much for making me truly LOL at some of your comments! As others have said, you respect for the places you explore is much appreciated.

When someone dies and not relatives can be found the government does step in and passes to heir hunter companies to trace distant people usually grandparents off spring if no one traced it goes to the government I think Duchy of Lancaster or Treasury - there is a BBC program called Heir Hunters which describes this.

The spoons collection was from tea-caddies with loose tea leaves, before tea-bags. The animal carcases were smoked and hung up to dry. I was brought up on an old croft house in the west highlands of Scotland in the 1950's. We eventually had electric, one bulb in the kitchen ceiling, powered from a generator in an old hen-house.. The clothes dryer you spoke of was called a mangle, used to put sheets and blankets through in the spring, for an annual clean! This house is just full of memories which have surfaced seeing all this. Thankyou so much for visiting this old home and videoing the contents.

The house was closed up in 2002/2003 when his mum died and he couldn't bare to live there, hes a lovely man. the meat was left hanging as i came from a farming childhood just down the road from this farmhouse where meat was hung on the ceilings to cure and dry then you would eat it with lots of salt, probably from an animal that once roamed the farm too as times were very hard on the boarders where this farm is

The ROTTING MEAT MYSTERY all over the house, is an easy one to solve, As soon as I saw the first lot hanging on the door, I expected to see more around the house and we did, in random places, even on a set of stair banisters!, and bones on the floors, picked almost clean by Rats, "A very cleaver" idea by the last owner, his parents meant a lot to him, which is why the house contents were never removed, I presume at one point someone had been in the house, so he hung the fresh meat around the house to Rot, which within a few days would of filled the houses (old rear & newer Front) with the most discussing stench, a smell so bad you would vomit if you smelt it, and it would linger within the home for years, until air flow from broken windows, open doors and holes in the roof, helped to disparate the smell, the perfect way to keep anyone out of the property, and preserve the loved and treasured belongings of his parents. I enjoyed your video, both for the beautiful old contents of houses and the respectful way you looked around, and also seemed to genuinely admire and appreciate the things you saw, which reminded me of my past favorite abandoned Explores Jord & Hollie's (Adventury) YT Channel, which always had content I loved, and they always respected were they went, so it is nice to see you doing the same, and so I have both "liked" this video and "Subscribed" to your channel, in the hope your future videos will be every bit as good as this was, well done Adam for a pleasant, enjoyable, well presented explore.

Sounds plausible but if that was true flies would have laid eggs on it and the maggots would have stripped the bones clean. The meat had to be smoked and dried out or it would not be there still. There would also be millions of dead flies all over the house. Back to the drawing board.

Such a beautiful place. Sad to see it abandoned. You found it and now someone else will with no respect for anything in it.

I love this home. I loved the old print of Elizabeth and Margaret, still in bright colour, not faded. And the wallpaper in the dining room is still so bright looks Art nouveau which is late 1800-early 1900s.

Way to go Adam and Dale. This is absolutely a gem. Such beautiful old furniture snd weird grap hanging on the walls. So sad that no family members did not come and clear the house. So sad!!

Absolutely stunning for a time capsule. A little eerie at moments, so sad it’ll just decay and fall into the earth eventually. Another superb explore thank you for sharing!🇨🇦🇨🇦

Another smashing video Adam 😊 can’t beat your humour or expressions 👍 so many trinkets and decorations reminded me of my nans house. Dale with the banjo on your fb stories earlier had me dead 😂😂 can’t wait for the next one 🤪

Great video! I live in the U.S. and in 2014, I was in an airport giftshop in the Amsterdam, Netherlands and bought a porcelain windmill very similar to the ones shown at minute 3:42.

I think this has to be one of my favourites so far. I think that’s cured meat hanging up but how is it even in tact since the late 1990s? And why is it everywhere? And the bones! That’s seriously creepy. 😯 it’s odd because the first room seemed like a nice normal living room from back in the day and afterwards the vibes changed to quite creepy. I really don’t know how I feel about the overall vibe of this house. What a fantastic explore though seeing artefacts from the late 1800s is just incredible. How are those certificates even still in tact? I find it fascinating that people could leave the house and everything in it forever. What a fab video. Thanks Adam and Dale for sharing this explore with us.

the house did not look to have ppliances in the house tour. store large amounts of meat if you don't have a fridge or freezer. Prior to the house being abandoned, the family may have been in the process of killing a preserving some livestock. As for the bones found in the house they could have been brought in by wildlife, most of the windows on the house are broken.

I agree! At the beginning I thought what a lovely home, and was sad when I saw the hospital bed, and thought of someone's last days probably. Then the meat, then the bones, and all the house turned a bit grim!
