Absolutely love these videos on high level GM's playing the Caro-Kann. I'm working towards adding anchor games in my opening repertoire, these videos help so much, immensely. David Howell & Hikaru would be an awesome addition. Edit: A video with model games just on the Tartakower (Or other Caro-Kann variations, Panov-Botvinnik, Botvinnik-Carls) is a great idea, would definitely watch.

If anyone is interested in the Exchange structure from game 1, I first came across it when reviewing games from Tony Miles, who went into this structure often. Very instructive!

I don't get to play the Tartakower very often (1200 blitz/1400 rapid), but I did get a game last week where I got the pawn cube and then won.

He's such a great player and in my opinion under estimated as a future world champion along with pragg, duda, and quite a few others.Chess will change over the next few years, younger players will start to hit their peak and be more stronger in the playing field.New faces, and old are about to shine in the light a bit more as a new era of players comes through, merry xmas to all in chess community and to one and all.

In game #2, if Deng didn't do h5 right away (instead h6), isn't the theory that white can maneuver his knight to g3 and cause issues via maneuvers to h5 or f5 depending on the situation? And the h5 then h4 pawn push is designed among other ideas to stop that plan. At least that's what I recall from l'Amis Chessable course. Can't wait for your course to compare and contrast ideas. Oh and definitely YES vote from me on a separate Tartakower video 🙏🙏🙏

Video is great! It might help to add "Caro-Kann" to the title to find it easier, and so others won't pass it up for vids that do have the name in the title.
