To be fair, he was talking about his planned moves, not his opponent's. It was in fact morbin' time, and he forked and pinned piece after piece just total scorched earth policy. Though, 3:27 he could have also skewered King to bishop and won one more bishop before... Oh wait, the knight could take it. Oops lmao

@@petertodorov5592 Especially edge pawns. Just play like a3, h3, Ra2, Ra1, Ra2, Ra1, Ra2, Ra1, Ra2, Ra1 or something like that. I doubt a 100 rated player is going to be able to mate you in 10 moves unless they go for the scholar mate. Just block that if you see them trying to do it, and then continue to waste move. Once you can move on turn 11, you're golden and it should be trivial to win.

@@bouncyball708 In a regular chess game yes, but the goal of this video was that the white queen would never have line of sight with a black piece (that is, there would always be a white piece between them). The challenge comes from the opponent being unskilled, and therefore unpredictable.
@rcslyman8929
@rcslyman8929 2 жыл бұрын
@@bouncyball708 In a normal game, the knight takes was pretty much giving up the game. Queen takes forces King to e6 and back further on a continued press and retreat, as the king only has one path to run from the advance. The only way black prevents a quick mate is with a knight block after Queen to E phial (3 or 5), but black likely blocks with the bishop instead. White Rook and bishop advance, and with the bishop pinned by the queen in e, the knight's the only viable blocker until it blocks and pins itself to stop check from Rook e7. Good news is black's rook opens up. Bad news is, black runs out of time before being able to get out of the pin. Which is why he wasn't expecting the knight takes pawn, because it's purely a move of inexperienced desparation.

alternative: a4, ra3, qa1 3 turns, develops rook and puts queen safely in corner (where entry via a3 is unlikely since they have no reason to risk attacking a cornered queen doing nothing). Castling will lower chance of enemy rook going to row 1. Other than that, develop king side more in hopes of moving the battle farther from the queen. That's all I can think of rn.
