+Adham Fawzy It's no problem. You are the first person who's game I've shown that contacted me. So, thank You :) To play such a game against a GM today, in the era of modern (boring) chess, is simply amazing. I was stunned when I saw it. It's definitely a masterpiece, and will surely inspire a lot of new players. Thanks for making chess enjoyable to watch again :) p.s. I hope my analysis wasn't too terrible :D

At 4:58.. Alternative line is.. White queen to a6 threating to capture bishop or queen or itself being captured, black queen captures white queen. Now knight f6 gives check, king moves to only square d8. Now finally rook to d6 check and mate.

5:14 I know its kinda of late but this is the first time im seeing this video and i found a different move (one i was completely sure it would be the one played) The move is Qa6. If the queen is captured then just Nf6, king only move d8 then Rd7 checkmate. I would love another opinion on this, i know the queen doesnt have to be taken on a6 initially but it is treatening the bishop and the queening square, if i missing something i would love to hear it.
@alijradi5552
@alijradi5552 4 жыл бұрын
This move simply lose the queen for nothing. Black can play Ng3 with check, you can't move the king because the bishop is guarding the g1 square. After you capture the knight, black can simply capture your queen, because now your knight is pinned to the king after the pawn capturing the knight, so you can't play now nf6.

Great video ! And the move I found at 5:22 wasn't Qxf5, but rather e7. This comes with the threat of Rook to f8, forcing the exchange of rook and promoting to a queen in the same time. Only way to stop this for black is queen to d6, but after Rf8, Rxf8, pawn captures on f8, promoting, so queen captures on f8 and after knight takes and king recaptures, it's a queen against a knight and a bishop, but your queen is coming to a6, threatening to capture the bishop, which has to go to b8 to prevent promotion, but then after Qa8, bishop has to move and it's over because you're gonna lose your bishop after pawn promotes. (hope i'm right)

5:26 also what I saw was knight to f6 only move is king d8 then rook d7 wins the queen as rook is protected by the e6 pawn (and f6 knight) and controls the 7th rank, the knight is hitting the e8 square and the b7 pawn stops the king from running so queen d7 is the only defence to knight f6 king d8 rook d7. Please correct me so I can see how I'm wrong because I usually am.. all moves do come with checks so no counter play I believe

At 5:17, what if instead of QxNf5 you play Qa6? If the black Q captures, the checkmate in two (Nf6+ Kd8, and Rd7+ mate) And if the queen moves, then you checkmate, with the same way since the queen can't protect the d7 squire.

5:15 Great position! I think another good move would be Qa6 for white. White queen pretty much has to be captured with the black queen (not doing so results in heavy loss of material - and probably the game - for black), and after ..Qxa6, Nf6+ Kd8, Rd7#. Is there a good counter to white's move Qa6 here?

Ivan Solotaroff wrong if Qa6 black will win, by playing Ng3+ white must capture, then only black capture the Qxa6, white knight can’t deliver mate because it is pinned by the Rook at h8

At 5:29, why do you have to sacrifice the queen? Wouldn't the instant knight to F6 check work better?
