All of this is true. I remember trying so hard with my partner and sensed him pulling away. The sex changed. I knew he wasn't in it anymore. I decided to let him go and next thing you know he decides to CHOOSE me and I can FEEL the difference. He's in and I don't have to try. A man just needs to "believe" he chose you... it's the same with house shopping, you can totally rig the options to set your preference up as the best option and make another person feel like they chose it too... They will be just as satisfied becasue they feel like they had a choice, it does not matter if it was all fabricated. The reality is men often just get to a place where they are just tired, or realize they have peaked and it's all downhill so they pick whoever's decent or who checks the most boxes in that moment to avoid ending up with no one or having to scrape the bottom of the barrel. Most men do not have access to the women they really want so the whole "picking" thing is not often the reality, it's more settling for the best deal you can get... With that said, a smart, calculated women can totally put the idea into a man's head that he "chose" her/ set herself up as the best option... For me personally, I like to provide things for myself. I don't like to rely on other people for things such as money, rides, housing, comfort, etc. I grew up earning my own things and working really hard. Also growing up being an introvert, my peace was within me and not relying on other people so I grew up being a lone wolf in a way. It just feels weird being in that position where another person is providing most of the things in my life, especially someone like me who likes to earn everything, so it doesn't feel right. I also don't want to be in that position where someone has control over my life. My guardian who was the one who took care of me during my teenage years really had a lot of control over my life even when I turned 18 which was downright miserable. Not only that but she was toxic. I moved out and moved in with my high school sweetheart and never looked back.

With my experience through the years, compared to now, I just seam to deal with medium to high interest women. I had little to no success with me chasing women (wasting time, money, energy along the way). I just focus on my thing and even if I see/meet women who's an 8-10 on my attractiveness scale(and if I'm single at that time), I'll just be straight and direct, and if she don't like me then I'll just move on and take that rejection as fuel for improving myself. While, if I see that she's highly interested, then I'll ask her out on a date. If she's flaky, I immediately go no contact but if she's on time on every date and she's very responsive then I'll do my best to reward her along the way. (May it be with food, sex(in my experience, women seem to love it more than I do), loyalty, assurance, and so on)

I want an exclusive relationship but he’s not allowed to be in a public relationship because his child’s mother is very masculine and guilts him for moving on and being happy while she’s depressed and miserable. Any advice on switching back and forth between masculine and feminine energy (or even integrating) when moving about the world? I feel often in my masculine energy in my exterior life. . . I'm used to seeing something I want and going after it (my cozy apartment, my nursing degree, my job, my grad school acceptance, my art projects, etc) and it's hard to not feel that way about guys too. . . wanting to apply the same principles of dream-chasing there. But I'm trying to live the opposite and embody my femininity and let men come to me. It can be hard to reign in the go-getter side haha. But I practiced last night. . . went to a mixer for hikers and was drawn to someone strongly, but I didn't feel the same energy back. So I pulled back and softened and chatted with other people. So I spoke to the guy I walked away from after a month of dating. I do not understand this but he said he likes to keep a full social calendar and spend a lot of time with friends and family. I felt during the time I dated him I was just getting the scraps. He only wanted to make time for me once on the weekend.. like a half day. We are both in our 40's and never married. To me this seems like he does not want to lose his freedom, grow up, or have a serious relationship headed toward marriage. We are both Christians and not planning on sleeping with people before marriage. Seems like a Peter Pan syndrome a bit. I am also a counselor. Any thoughts? He wanted to stay friends after I walked away.. wants to mountain bike with me and go to my church. I said no to the friendship part and said he can go to any church he chooses. I’m surprised that women even “need” to hear this message. Women don’t seem to even want to pursue or initiate a large majority of the time. At least, not in my experience nor is it normally like that for the men in the channels that I’ve watched and some of these men are fairly high value.
