3 ways a man can ignore you: 1. The non-texter (he doesn't respond to your text) 2. The Stone-Waller (he shuts down and get quiet) 3. The dodger (He has a short-term memory, He forgets conversations, get dodges conversations or makes a joke about important matters, e.g. marriage, sex, responsibility) When a person ignores you,they basically stop all conversation. (Stone walling). It might be a form of "freezing".

Sooo I just wanted to update ya! Okay so after ten years being single not knowing wth I was doing I found my hero Adrienne lol I listened to her, got a few of her programs, really did the homework like actually wrote stuff down and cried lol and soon after I met a man and used her techniques to give him a chance etc. And omg. I’ve never been in a relationship like this. It is weird at first getting used to being vulnerable but it gets easier. We have almost been together for a year now and our love is stronger than it’s ever been. I love how you mention empathy because my man is pretty sensitive and I need to work on having empathy SO BAD. But he does everything for me and LIKES TO DO IT. He said he has never felt this way. He said he has never cared for a woman so much and with examples from his life, I believe it. I feel so beloved and taken care of. I need lots of Adrienne to remember to stay in my feminine. Everything vía nature and nurture just wants me in my masculine for some reason?! Anyway Adrienne you’re the best. My tubes are tied but if he and I ever have a kid I’m naming it Adrienne. That would truly work for a boy or a girl anyway lol

You're so good and gifted in what you do and teach. You make women realise their worth, their value and the examples and techniques you give explain it all perfectly. The timing of this video is just what I needed to hear. I'm in a situation where my man I was casually seeing suddenly disappeared on me end of last week for no reason meaning he's not texting back, and although I know he will come back round again when he's ready as he's done so before. I am trying to be okay with it but it's not ok when they disappear for more than a week. I'm just angry because I can't allow it, they will just walk all over you if you accept crappy treatment and know if you'll put up with it.

Glad you’re back, Adrienne and hope you’re feeling better. I’ve been following you since 2018. One of the most important things I’ve learned from you is that you can almost always turn an angry trigger into something positive Ps: I believe Rick Springfield is a very feminine man. (Long story)

@MsActor2009
@MsActor2009 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Laken, I think it’s from some of Adrienne’s early videos. However, I found it helpful to hear the same message a few times throughout her video series, because twisting something negative into a positive is muscle you need to grow. You feel so much inner peace when it becomes a habit. It’s okay to feel absolutely irritated 😤 with something someone said, but then you need to work on the trigger. Why did it annoy you? How did it make you feel? Then you need to flip it into how you want to feel or what you want. Then you can politely make a request. I guarantee people will listen and men love and respect it! Don’t ignore things that irritate you. Work through each trigger ❤️

You’re welcome ☺️ Adrienne, I like the way Rick Springfield has aged. Yes, he is older, but he hasn’t taken the old fart road. He uses a lot of “sexiness” to woo women, which is a very feminine characteristic and typical of artists. He feels his feelings. Great in the beginning, but then he becomes a bit of a victim, then a big cry baby. It feels a little bit off putting.

Brilliant, Colleen! The words “want to” are super powerful and activate a man’s masculinity for some reason. It takes a lot of energy to go deep down into your feelings (feminine) and decided what you “want”and men can feel it and trust it! I like what Adrienne has taught me about flipping the switch. You flip it from don’t want to want!

♥ you Adrienne. Thanks as always for the wonderful advice. I need a refresher, I'll be back to go through all of your programs again that I did last fall. ♥ I love what you said "The brain doesn't solve emotional problems". I think my biggest issue is the urgency to resolve conflict. That urgency turns into anxiety and then intolerable distress. I need to work on that because it's very true, I become the chaser and it's degrading to me. I'm doing it less and less, but those times when it happens, I really regret it. Doing nothing sometimes results in long spans of time where there is no communication (we live together). He digs in his heels and will never make the first move. I usually end up breaking the ice and I'm trying so hard to shift that. It's tough. Hope you're having a most wonderful Sunday! ♥ Sorry I missed this live!!!

I enjoyed this video. I do believe men go try life changes because they do age worse than us women and also in most cases do need to take meds to help them be intimate. I think this issue has caused them to have these behaviors of not feeling they’re still men on their own doing. This in itself can cause him to be self conscious about himself and thinking he cannot perform and that causes a wedge.

Men trapped in their languishing ways, lazy hazy energy is such a turn off. How to inspire a man to want to take the reigns and be in his masculine energy ? How to motivate a man in a loving supportive way while maintaining your relationship and getting your needs met? Be aware of how your FEELing, stay in our feminine energy. I want him to meet me in the middle, to reciprocate mutual effort. When they shut down they under give and you under receive. How to stay in our feminine energy when we shift into our masculine and operate from our thinking logical side?

Mine is overseas, travel banned. We've waited 18 months. He shuts down. I shut down because it's easier than being emotional all the time. The longest we've shut down is a week, and we've been carrying on for nearly 4 yrs. The pandemic is the wedge. Thank you.

@@AdrienneEverheart No. I am not happy with the relationship as it is. How could I be? He is in Cape Town, S. Africa, and I'm in NYC. We were so excited he was flying here on Jan. 29th. We talked for weeks about all we would do together, and then a travel ban went into effect Jan. 30th, so the flight was cancelled. The 3rd cancellation since last year, due to the pandemic. We were devastated. I'm a young 72 -- but don't have the luxury of time. He's an old 49. He opened up my life in so many ways. We talk hours on the phone, sometimes all day and night, and never run out of things to talk about. We spent one week together in person, after 2 yrs of near daily contact online (we met in a FB film group). We were both shy in person, but got along great; no awkward silences. He's been thru 3 lockdowns, his dog and cat both died, his mother is ill. I must consider these grievances when expecting him to text or call just because I want him to. I always keep my options open, have been alone since the 80s. My choice. Men in NYC are either gay, married or have major issues (booze, drugs). I tried dating sites and nearly got sexually assaulted. I used to model and am still attractive. Much younger guys hit on me all the time. I'm not loose like that. I just happened upon someone who became my heart, and I his, and the world goes to shit. Thank you though.

Even though I was deliriously tired--the message was true, so I left it thinking..."well, what do I have to lose," it's been 3 days, and...no answer. This guy would probably register under emotionally unavailable if I'm being honest with myself. But I'm curious if these techniques work in situations like this as well? Oh...how to redeem this messy mess! Haha!

Hey Adrienne, thank you for this video! It was awesome. I'm not sure whether you're still responding to questions, but here goes: How do you know when you're showing enough empathy or when it's taking it too far, ie. empathy at the expense of yourself? My guy is really close with his family (it's part of his culture), and he visits them for several hours at least once a week, or even two or three times a week. I've never stood in his way of doing this and am supportive. I get along great with his family. However, visiting his family that much is way too much for me personally, so I only go when I'm willing and able to time-wise and energy-wise, which is only every second or third week. He gets pouty when I don't go and acts as if his feelings are hurt. What's the best way to handle a a guy who does this?

When you are married you can discuss this more with him. But here’s a script: I feel so lucky to have a man who is so loyal to family. I am looking forward to building a family with you one day, and getting to know them better as well.” “I’m honored you want to include me, I love time with you, and sometimes parents too, but once a month feels good to me, more than that and I feel out of balance.”

Thank you for this video. I think my guy is a combination of all of the above. We have been dating for 2 years and as of late things have been chaotic. We have both experienced lost that hit home of both ends. With that it had put a lot of stain and pressure on our relationship. I will admit that I have not been in my feminine power, I actually forgot about it lol. But I agree empthy is very important. I need to take a few steps back and let him breathe. I would love a private session with you.

my husband used not to talk for 10-15 days almost every month from the very start of the wedding. I even stayed at my mom's for 6months. I am at my mom's again for a month and he has not even messaged him. He is after my money since the start and things went uglier day by day.

Thank you for the video! I've been seeing a man since March but it's purely a friends with benefits situation. No amount of feeling statements have ever worked on this man and he's not very HV but it served my needs at the time and kept me from putting too much energy on the others I was dating. ... But now by some miracle I have found myself pregnant even after taking precautions. Of course he has ghosted me now that he has found out. I dont even know if it's worth trying to to communicate with him now. Now my boy energy is trying to protect me and figure out what to do and its been so hard to get back into my feminine. Anyone have any pointers to help me get back?

Hmmm. Assuming you didn’t get pregnant on purpose un consciously, the man is going to act like he did before. If you want him to pay child support he will have to by law. You still won’t have the relationship but a court order for financial support and child visitation. He may choose to pay but not choose to be part of the child’s life.

Hi Adrienne, I am devastated because my husband of just over a year has just informed me that he has decided he does not want to have children with me. I am 38 years old, he is 62. Prior to our marriage he was excited about having kids with me and talked about it all the time, even telling me that " the truest test of whether you are with the right person is whether you can see yourself having kids with them." However, we have had a difficult first year of marriage that has been punctuated with fighting, tension and drama over our political, background, and worldview differences, and he now feels that we should not have children. While I understand his reasoning, I am struggling badly with this and feel that a rug has been ripped out from under me. This is a decision that will affect me in a much longer term way that it will him since he is 25 years older than I. He has agreed to see a family therapist to discuss this further but still seems very adamant in his decision. Do you have any tips for me, particularly with regard to staying in control of my emotions and staying in feminine energy through this? Thank you Adrienne

Herb is selfish for not giving you what he has promised. I bet if you knew he does not want children you would not marry his old ass. Divorce and go after what you want, while you can. He will not make you happy in the long run and you don't need to be his comfortable carer in his old age .
@AdrienneEverheart

I hear of this often. Men rarely are eager for children at any age. I encourage that you have your boundary and allow him to have his. Your boundary could sound like this, “I am no longer using birth control. I would like to have children.” And let it unfold. Start there. You still get to do what you want to do.
@nicoleseger5674
@nicoleseger5674 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Adrienne. In thinking about your response, may I ask a follow-up question regarding boundaries? I am not on birth control, and without getting too personal, suffice it to say that the nature of our sexual relationship is such that he is 100% in the driver's seat when it comes to procreation. That being said, would my only other option for a boundary be to let him know that I am contemplating leaving or taking a break? I am in love with and devoted to this man, so it's difficult for me to think of divorce or even separation as an option, but...?

@@nicoleseger5674 ...think about your well being.. if you want family maybe he is not the right person. If you get pregnant, among rhe possibilities he might acusse you of manipulation and can leave you alone with the child.. If you want a baby, consider this: it is your baby wether he is the father or not. If you get pregnant of him (or from him.. sorry for my english), the responsability is all yours, because he can take any excuse to leave you alone, you must be prepared for any situation. In another topic, 25 years between you are too much.. you will end caring for a mummy... and supporting a young adult in 20 years.. I have been there .. not an easy task. ...he is 20 years older than me, and my daughter is 19, he left me alone since pregnant until she became sick with cancer.. Now I'm caring for an old grumpy guy (that blames me for his money becoming short).. and a child in recovery from chemotherapy. I'm 52, but look and feel 20 years younger.. (just God knows how this last part happened)
