IMO any Nirvana cover band should do Teen Spirit and do it proud. Forget this Radiohead "Creep" or Oasis "Wonderwall" shit. We're past that point. You can play Teen Spirit. It's a good song. It put Nirvana on the map. And the thing is, it's not just a testament to Kurt, but it is to what his life was at the time he wrote the song, and it's also like this major point for Dave Grohl like... on the global scale, Grohl literally drums himself into scene here. For people who were already fans of Nirvana or the huge wave that followed... to underplay Smells Like Teen Spirit really is folly. It's an amazing song. Is it Nirvana's best song? Yes. Yes it is. No, it's not your favorite Nirvana song, but that doesn't matter. Teen Spirit propelled Nirvana into the stratosphere and gave us everything to come. Even the absence of the song in their Unplugged sitting speaks volumes. So I say, to skirt around Teen Spirit is bullshit. It should be embraced. Maybe it's not-for you-Nirvana at its finest. But it was the time. The song channeled the essence of its time that few other songs do. And that should be celebrated.

Post started his musical career as a guitarist in a metal band then went into hip-hop. He's a metalhead at heart. He's crushes a cover of RATM Killing in the Name.

Justin I think the pedal you're talking about is the Electro Harmonix Small Clone chorus pedal. Classic pedal!!

Hey Justin, I think the effect for the solo was an EHX Polychorus. Nevermind was layered with the Small Clone Chorus before this pedal came to be used more for In Utero. As a massive Nirvana fan who lived in Pakefield as a young child, this review is 🙌

I thought this was going to be a complete disaster when I saw the video title, but my god he actually pulled it off. Granted, this is an easy song to play, but he played it and sung it well, adding a bit of himself into the mix. The rougher, sludgier vibe in this performance works well with the song, as does his voice.

First interview i saw with him he did a megadeth cover. Earned my respect immediately. Also, he is a great human being.

I don't listen to musicians because they're "unproblematic". There's lots of talentless people that aren't problematic. Give me problematic and talented. Not some unproblematic, pitchy wannabee rocker.

Justin the drummer will be fantastic. With the drums completely behind and over his head while still facing the crowd. If anyone can pull this off it’s you my friend. Cheers to Post and the other musicians. I watched this live it was unbelievably good. Everyone was going nuts in the live chat.

As a very big fan of Nirvana, I'll be honest and say..... It was definitely better than I was expecting, but then I wasn't expecting. It to be very good. He did a good job, nothing to be ashamed about, not even a little. I can dig it 🤘

I saw an interview with Butch Vig (Rick Beato's channel) and he said that Cobain would rip through his vocals with such intensity that he'd blow his voice out after a take or two. Sans amp

Post Malone was born that night when he went to a house party, and he was the first person to doze off. Everyone doodled on his face. When he awoke, he looked in the mirror and loved what he saw so much that he vowed to NEVER bathe again.
