Dude Atrioc, I started watching you for your excellent Hitman content, but, I've come to really love your Marketing Mondays and other business-related stuff also! I really like how you cover complex financial concepts by breaking it down in terms anyone can follow, and that you have a lot of passion for the topics. I think a lot of people, especially perhaps your younger twitch audience, needs to learn that these are not ideas which are impossible to understand, and, that these are topics which directly affect their quality of life and that need to be part of the daily conversation and something they take an interest in and time to understand. I really think you're doing your best to educate without bias, and that the world needs more people doing what you're doing! I especially liked your comments at the end of this video, that most humans have a common interest in economic prosperity for all, and a stable future where climate change is controlled, and I think this has to be the angle we appeal to others from. Keep up the great content man!

@JesseWinford692 жыл бұрын
Actually my father used to work for first horizon bank and he was high up. They made him fire a lot of people, employee that was his friend and team. The stress of firing people gave him his first heart attack. Luckily he lived and quit immediately afterwards.
@notednuance2 жыл бұрын
I think probably the key difference there is "they made him" as opposed to the CEO where the buck has nowhere else to go... presumably the CEO made the choice based on business reasons and would make those decisions again and so asking for sympathy on social media is quite strange. Where as your stressed out pop, high up or not, if was MADE to do the firing didn't make the decision and so had to deal with the stress of executing someone else's (hopefully) hard call that he perhaps would not have made himself.
@notednuance2 жыл бұрын
@Lukas Nero I'm not saying there is no such thing as a head honcho that doesnt feel it, but when you have to let good people go... I think it's also fair that most folk sympathize with the good folks that were let go for financial reasons rather than the person that preserved their finances. And it's kind of in poor taste to be like "it's hard on CEOs too guys, look how sad firing people makes me" on social media. It's the attention seeking post that makes it weird, not the sentiment.
@notednuance2 жыл бұрын
@Lukas Nero I'd challenge that "a lot of CEOs take pay cuts" cause I think you just pulled that out of nowhere. I clearly dont think they are benevolent beings... or maybe you misused benevolent. I dont think they are charitable I think they are profit driven in their role which is the heart of why its weird, if it's just business why seek the emotional support? If its emotional, surely the person out of a job is in larger emotional distress? I'll repeat that I dont believe it doesnt affect them emotionally, since you decided to say "thinking they are above empathy" which I also dont... but trying to act like the person running the company and having to let people go is a victim, is a weird take.

@DannyLeWasTaken thanks for taking the time to reply. In this case I think Grand Cookie has the right idea, in that it's more critical of the government than the people under its jurisdiction - although I do see what you mean about how it might get used out of context/in the wrong way. Honestly the message at the end was pretty dope from Big A. Wasn’t reactionary about China and recognized and called on the collective interest and power of the common person, including calling out the institutional forces that each country is fighting against for the good of the world. It’s not like I expect atrioc to be shitty about that stuff, but he’s not some super ultra leftist, so the fact that these very genuine discussions about the subjugation of the common person by the ruling forces coming out of a not very politically active streamer shows a lot about how much more in focus these issues are in the public consciousness. These used to be way more niche stances to hear said I feel like so I’m glad it at least feels like there’s a shift going on

Move pass was a dumb idea. Now a better version would be charge a monthly fee. Scalp tickets then let your members get tickets at a 30% mark up. If it comes close with extra tickets? sell them on Ebay. You're only going to make money when also making sure people to lazy to get tickets early or watch a movie a week from it being out is too much. There would be a fair amount of people that would want scalped tickets at a lower rate then ebay.

18:00 good to remember that economic trouble in china is *REALLY BAD* for the world. Nobody should be cheering it on. Even ignoring the economic impact, China is an authoritarian government but one that prefers to keep a majority of it's people happy, whether it be through lies or genuine qol improvement. You can't hide an economic crisis, so China will be desperate to get a win. Taiwan is always an easy political win if China can get away with it, which would allow them to keep popular support. A war in Taiwan would lead to multiple things: 1) an increasingly dangerous and emboldened russia and china, as war leads to more war 2) a complete crash of global semiconductor levels, and 3) a lot of pain for the people who live in Taiwan. Not to mention the pain already endured by average Chinese citizens who were just born in the wrong place. We want China to stay on good economic footing, even if investing in China is not particularly wise a crash in china would more likely lead to Chinese outlash in the region than a government collapse.
