I once stopped a kidnapping of my sister's pet while it was taking place. Some crazy people out there! Another time, one of my friend's grandchildren ran inside the house yelling that strangers in a van had just reached over the fence and stolen her dog! Quick calls to local vets and Humane Society foiled the crime (the thieves took the dog to a vet with a "story" about how they "found" a lost dog and wondered if it was micro-chipped). WHEW. Vet held the dog and it was safe!

So happy he was able to get his kid back. I had a Doe reject a kid once. The kid was only 1 lb at birth. I took it everywhere also & no one ever said anything. I even had a baby sling I put it in the first couple of months to grocery shop. She would nap in the sling while I shopped. Only once did anyone ever stop me to ask if they could see my baby and when they peeked into the sling to see a tiny baby goat they were surprised. I put diapers on her until I got her potty trained which is actually easy. I gave a bottle every two hours and I have found within 10 to 15 minutes of a bottle they always peed and created goat berries so we always went outside after a bottle with no diaper. I still have her and she is 8 years old. I am giggling remembering how she (Princess) even went on vacation with us. Garden looks AMAZING! Pumpkins and gourds love to grow out of compost piles. Maybe Grace could drop a few gourd seeds for fun. Really enjoy watching your Homestead Family Vlogs. p.s. I have a Mulberry tree I purchased last year. It has grown big and needed cut back so I took the branches I cut back and stuck them in some pots to see if they would root. They did and I am super happy as I also just discovered the mulberry leaves are good for my goats to eat. Just thought I would share in case anyone wanted to root some mulberry branches. Another Wonderful Day On The Homestead.

@@mgm2008 When you give them a bottle they will pee within 10 to 15 minutes of bottle feeding if not sooner. Being that a bottle was every 2 hours I just kept the schedule with last feeding about 10 p.m. so I could sleep till the sun came up. She did stay in a large kennel by the bed at night with baby blanket, sleeping all night. First thing in the morning I took her out just like you would a puppy. I still kept a diaper on her in the house or car just in case. I put her out in the stall with other goats at 3 months. I waited that long because she was so tiny. Still is, people are shocked at how tiny she is when they see her. She is normal in every way other than being super tiny. AT feeding time the Nubians I have let her go to the first feed I put out. They all have their own feeding trough and wait patiently for them to be filled.

I had an old Oldsmobile Cutlass that was my do everything car to take animals to vet and just on trips. But my goat I raised from 4 months old went everywhere with me especially to town. Sticking her head out the window to catch the breeze and baaing at everyone who waved or honked. Some stores allowed her in but others I would tie her at the post as she waited for me. Someone tried to take her but always protective of me she head butted the lady loudly calling out to me. Yep I was the goat lady as she would follow me and my horse on trail rides and to visit friends. She was potty trained and loved resting by the warm dryer in my huge kitchen. Had her for 10 years as a momma and a milker and a best friend. Your garden IS gorgeous and throwing seeds in the manure compost is a great idea. We always soaked our pea seeds and with a knife nicked them to better sprout. Planting them along with beans to help with the nitrogen needs. Companion planting really helps the soil and bugs on plants. I quit rows of corn and opted for 3x3 or 4x4 blocks to better help the pollination when silks began.....shaking the stalks as well. Got a better harvest as I just continued planting to make season last. Always used fish emulsion and chopped up fish and placed in hole with seeds as my Indian neighbor shared tribal stories for growing the best corn. And yes it had a smell so I covered them for a few weeks until it passed and critters no longer cared. Your kayak will be perfect for small trips and bonding with kids. Sounds like a perfect summer and lots of gardening yet to do. It’s definitely time to plan a greenhouse for Bri to help her continue to grow what you need. Always beautiful videos I look forward to tho KZbin has not been notifying me of a new one. I miss all those precious Wilder moments as he quickly grows and eagerly wants to be your helper wherever you go and WOWs is with his incredible knowledge. And that always makes your videos more precious as all the kids play and work on your beautiful place called home. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hart you need to make you a scarecrow for your garden to keep the crows away. But don’t make it to bee in one spot permanently because they will get used to it you will want to move it around about every two weeks to a different spot see if that works

I so wished I loved my garden like Bri does. My husband is the garden man. And it looks amazing since he’s been working from home and will be until 7/31. Then we will see from there what happens next. We will have one heck of a garden this year. It’s just for the two of us. Ours is small compared to yours, which is like my dads used to be when I was a kid. We have three 16x4 beds connected with 2 4x4 beds. I’m the animal mama and he’s the plant daddy. Good luck- and Arthur stay safe your family needs you. As a nurse myself I understand you are essential to healthcare but you’re more essential as a great dad and husband.
