For SURE, feedback we definitely took is to not cut any dialogue, but I definitely want Bob to have creative freedom so the edits similar to the ones in the Klee video will likely come back even if only a little, she's WAY too good at the fun edits to let them go away!

Yeah, Itto as an oni is allergic to soybeans. We incapacitated him in the story quest by throwing beans at him, which is a Setsubon celebration tradition still in use in Japan. He also almost died after competing eating food with tofu in it with Yae Miko. Poor Itto. :)

It should be noted that (if I remember correctly) not all oni are actually allergic to beans in Genshin, just Itto specifically. So it makes sense why Thoma, someone with a fascination for youkai like oni, wouldn't immediately recognize the allergy issue

I believe that lore-readers have long known about Albedo’s and Xingqiu’s relationship through their Voice-Overs, except the fact they know each other by their real names instead of pennames. Calx (Latin for chalk) seems to be a newly introduced alias, perhaps in reference to his alias Kreideprinz (Chalk Prince). On the other hand, Zhenyu has been established as Xingqiu’s penname and confirmed through the World Quest _Yae Publishing House’s Invitation_ which, judging by the dialogue in the previous episode that the Traveler did not know who Zhenyu was, means that you have not accomplished this particular World Quest. If you had completed that World Quest, Traveler and Paimon will immediately identify Zhenyu as Xingqiu.

The Traveler and Paimon will have different dialogue regarding him. Also Mona if you met her during the event before her Story Quest or not.

This comment exactly!! The world of Genshin is so jam-packed with lore and hints that I wish people would pay more attention to it because it is doing a disservice to the work put behind all of it. Maybe it’s because I’m in the fandom side of the community and I tend to like knowing about the characters that something like Albedo doing illustrations for Xingqiu would be a thing people know but I guess not.

Good upload as always Bob and Bran! Appreciative that you took time to read comments on the last video for future feedback. I do think one of the things that's important is definitely understanding what drew people to someone who's been making long-time content of a certain game or niche. As far as the Genshin community, I've noticed the two main things are: 1) Whether you started content with minimal edits/memes, or whether you jampacked plenty of them right from the beginning (like the "Character.exe" Genshin videos) , cause sometimes a major shift in that can really change tone for the people watching 2) Whether the audience you have is mainly looking for the full un-cut story (with only cuts for when nothing is really happening on screen) , or if it's mainly highlights (basically just wanting to watch the Content Creator react to just the good/funny bits) . Both have pros and cons - some people like watching uncut content because they don't play anymore and want to see the story through someone else/want to see the full reaction (similar to Lorie's) , while others don't have time for a full stream/VOD and just want to watch the main/funny highlights and reactions of what happened (similar to what bwaap/Erika Harlacher are doing now) The good thing though is that aside from comments, thankfully the Community tab has been really helpful in seeing what the people think, and sometimes some things that the creators may think is a drag might be something the audience loves and vice versa. Ultimately, as long as you keep a balance between doing something that feels genuinely Bob/BranOnline with an upload while still being conscious of the community and the reasons why they watch/subbed in the first place, then I think that's a good place to be at! There's lots of other voices though, so these are just my personal thoughts based on the Genshin KZbinr landscape! A backup/additional option that's the best of both worlds is doing the whole "One channel for main highlights/meme edits, One channel for unedited Twitch VODs" ; it's a bit harder to do as one person, but definitely easier to manage if you have an editor or two! Either way, I wholeheartedly agree with the direction you're heading, wishing for more success and blessed Genshin pulls for you!

15:42 have you been on *old* boats though Bran? Because back before modern boats were a thing, stormy weather would basically toss the boats back and forth, making any kind of activity virtually impossible because anything not nailed down would be sliding all over the place. The point Genshin was getting at was: Xingqui claimed he was reading the whole time and that when they arrived they could see Narukami Shrine on the way in. But with the storm Xingqui wouldn’t be able to comfortably read thanks to the boat being tossed around and they also wouldn’t have been able to see the Shrine because the clouds would block it from view. Obviously current boats don’t have those first couple issues, or at least, it’s not as prevalent on modern boats, but Genshin doesn’t have our technology. Also, sleeping would be basically all the people on board could do while the crew sails. Everyone was so tired because all they were doing was drifting in and out of very rough sleep 43:50 just accept your fate as the IRL Paimon Bran

Xingqiu used this Theatre Mechanicus as his excuse for coming to Inazuma, but from what I hear the rest of the Feiyun Guild originally rejected the project. Bit of a stretch, but maybe the devs used this edition of TM to test out some of their low-potential ideas while also integrating gameplay with this event's story/theme? (fiction reflecting reality)

You know... I can't help but think that Thoma has planned all those dual format and the reward for the winner. As well as predicted the outcome where Itto will be down from his bean allergy... 1. Itto and Ayato are quite close. There's no way Thoma doesn't know what Itto is like. No way in H does he does not know that an Oni has bean allergies. 2. His manner of speech clearly seems to change during the conversation with Itto. Almost like he's luring him with subtle words of provokations. 3. Itto is a big fan of Yae Novels and Magazines, that special drink will surely lure him in. He got Itto from stopping being a nuisance, get him work for free and stopping him from causing any future problems. Kills 3 birds with only 1 stone. ....On second thoughts, I'm starting to think that all of this is more like Ayato's plan.
