i actually think that the fact that jarul has a sword going through his brain might mean he has some degree of memory loss, particularly the bit of the fight in the castle when the 100+ soldiers died. i would say it was some external factors involved in framing loki (namely the world government) or at least some opposition to the king may it be from the country itself. Blaming Loki would've been easy given his extravagant character and that he my have had a few tusles with his dad here and there. And since Jarul, the only other survivor didn't remember what happened, they were able to fill him in with the false story and may have been used to convince the entire country("lord jarul says agrees so it must be true" kinda situation)

Im curious about the fact that Gunko's title card didnt include the "World Noble" title like it did for Shamrock. Her first one didnt include her fruit, so it's very possible it will be revealed later, but it feels very random to not include that as it's implied that she is one. Considering they are trying to recruit Loki as a new God's Knight, is it possible Gunko just isnt a World Noble, but a former slave with high potential, thats been trained to be a warrior, or potentially searched out in a similar way to Greenbull and Fujitora where they were picked out for their strength. Story is all kinds of sketch. Theories and discussion points ahead. I think it is safe to assume Loki is a good guy, albeit with questionable morality as any pirate would have, but his intentions are good. Likely the god knights attacked elbaf before and everyone in that room was fighting against them if it was not an outright betrayal by Harold. Jarul was either a traitor or an ally (as Liam explains) and feels kind of guilty hence calling Loki a semi good guy or he got knocked out and only saw the ending of the battle seeing something out of context. Remember Luffy only became the sun god after he "died" what if this is what loki and his dad were trying to do in a last ditch attempt to save their homeland. And the theories about harold being related to kaido could be so cool. "Every giant wants to be sun god Nika" and death in great battle (essentially going to valhalla) being the gateway to becoming him would explain why Kaido wanted to die so badly. Harold clearly had no problems having bastards and wanted to unite the world, maybe also through blood. So like Big Mom (what if she is also related to Harold) who wanted to unite the world through having every species on her crew she could have gotten that by being inspired by him. Loki being a pirate would also be interesting seeing the fact that almost all if not all the emperors at that time would have been giants (and maybe related to Harold). This made the world nobles not dare enter the new world but with big mom and kaidos defeat and lokis imprisonment they now have the chance to move in and finally destroy the giants

I'm gonna say it... Jarl is Harald. The sword is there to keep his helmet on, his portrait from the castle is a picture of him from centuries ago (which is why he looks so young,) and he never ate the Devil Fruit Loki has, which is why he's not dead and didn't need to die for Loki to get the fruit. The scars on his head will be how he's identified as Harald, and the entire country of Elbaf is covering something up about those horns.

If you look closely at King Harald's portrait his sword hilt is unique compared to all the other Swords in the room but perfectly matches the sword in Jahrul's Helmet. My current theory is that Harald was trying to give the world government access to Elbaf to establish the "Peaceful future" of Elbaf possibly even agreeing to become a God Knight like they are trying to recruit Loki into. (Would explain the teleport point in the castle if it required prior placement) However Loki realised this and attempted to prevent this, and Harald was the one to slaughter all of the Giants, and the one to kill him was actually Jarul. After surviving the sword to the dome he managed to take Harald down and Loki was the one who decided to take the fall to protect Jarul to protect the peace of Elbaf so they wouldn't go off to war with a threat Loki knew they couldn't beat
