In all fairness ego and pressure of his brand wouldnt ever prevent a fighter from folding if he's under the cosh like Joshua was.....Boxing just exposes what's really in a man when the going gets tough. Some fighters like a Gatti will never quit, others have it in them to varying degrees. If nothing else Joshua showed genuine courage and fighting heart. Ben Davidson is good but NOT elite. The game plan was terrible, the advice in the corner was terrible and the performance was the worst of his career. That was unbelievable - ZERO defense, wild swings, no effective jab, backing up, chin up, hands down. This could not have been any worse. I was there with my brother and had a great time. The media always cracks me up. As much as we would love to be ringside we bought tickets on what we could afford. I wouldn’t know what was the exact attendance number but sat from level 5 with a great view of the stadium there was very few seats unattended 💪🏼. Totally agree, I think when people criticise Joshua on his boxing ability and skill, Hearn gets very defensive and calls you a ‘hater’ to deflect away from the genuine weaknesses he has. Hearn will take all the praise when Joshua wins a fight but when he loses it and Joshua gets criticised he makes it out, as you say, to be a personal attack on Joshua’s character. In Eddie’s mind, he would want heaps of praise when he wins and heaps of praise when he loses. It’s absolute bollocks.

Let's be real, everyone was hyping up AJ saying he was "back" because he sparked out an MMA fighter with one pro fight. If you ignore the Ngannou fight, the Dubois fight is just a natural continuation of where AJ's boxing career was going. I think for his talent level, AJ has had an astonishing career, becoming wealthier and more famous than he could have ever dreamed... But sometimes your options start disappearing, there's nowhere else to run and you have to start taking fights at the wrong time in your career. AJ is no longer that young hungry wrecking machine and he's now the nail for guys who are. If I was him I'd sit back and wait because he can't afford another beating against Dubois... Wait for Fury to probably lose again to Usyk, and make that fight. Both coming off a loss, one last big night and pay-day. Do it for the fans and we'll call it a day. It's been a great career.
