Get to know eachother as best you can without having sex is a great boundary to set for people looking for long term relationships. If sex is on the table we compromise our values, and what we're truly looking for in a partner. As a man this has made my relationships with women so much better. Good boundaries=overall healthier relationships in my opinion. Obviously if you're looking for sex it's a different story.

I would really like you to reconcile this with the things you were saying Unattainability being Attractive for a man. All of these points are Presenting Unattainability. If that is what makes him attractive in the first place, why is there an effort to try to make him available for you as a woman? Wouldn’t that make him unattractive anyway? Why look for the signs that he isn’t that into you, when him being not into you, in a position of Power, and being unavailable is the very thing that makes him appealing? There is something deeply paradoxical in this that I can’t quite get to the root of but would really like you to address or discuss. It’s almost like a cognitive dissonance. Ah this is it: I get the impression that the women don’t want to see that he is genuinely unavailable because that is literally what makes him the fantasy man in the first place. His allure comes from her lack of access to his day his time his effort his care and resources. His gaze is elsewhere and she is peripheral to him rather than something he wants to contain and possess or be protective of. So ignoring his upfront honesty about being unavailable, (and his several other behaviors) for example, would seem to be more about the woman trying to rationalize to herself to help justify this fling kind of relationship against the aspect of her that genuinely does not feel safe in that. It’s not obvious to me that she really hopes and wants him to make time for her, but rather that she wants to give herself the right story to make all of her conflicting motives agree so that she can enjoy short term stuff. The long term part of her mind just needs something to hold on to, so that the short term part can do what it wants. That’s my impression. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on this.
