Jocote season is a just about over, we call them Tronadores , because they make a crunchy sound , the best jocotes come from Acosta , a bit over 1000 meters over sea level . Jocote trees are shaken … and the fruit is collected under the trees it is interesting to see how they are harvested … one bites into them and sucks the seed clean .. meaty yellow tarty fruit … amazing Cristian can grow Hass in Tambor …tambor is not too high .. in altitude … Chayotes too …the dark ones are very good… the Yuplon …has to be yellow … is best eaten ripe … thank you for coming to visit ! Pura Vida ! Guys you all are so cool ! Pete and co….keep pounding !

Jacote is awesome. Also known as Hog Plum. Easy to propagate from cuttings - my most prolific producer in Miami-Dade. It's a light orange juice/citrus flavor with hints of Mango.

Hey Peter, really nice videos man, I love it. Maybe you could answer me 2 quick questions: YOu said in one of your videos you took a course of Syntroic Farm in Costa Rica. Could you share which one? I am very interested. Also wanted to know if you have in plan an update of your syntropic system. Thanks man!

16:12 That's certainly a cutting from a mature tree when it will be big enough the fruit will be the size of a fist. Grafted Ambarella aren't good because the fruit are very small compared to the big tree in the wild, It's better to get a cutting from one of these. They can propagate very easily from a branch, are good to eat unripe when dark green and perfect for juicing, they turn yellow with dark spot when ripe and then they're *truly* amazing.

Hi Pete… did you see any native stingless bee honeycomb. I would like to compare with Australian Native Stingless bees. The comb is a spiral of connected spheres… and a different sweetness and viscosity. Cheers, Johno
