Without generating money, they don't get paid .. players are in it for themselves and I get it. But the majority of clubs loss money. Football is one of the few Industries where the workers ( players) get virtually all the money. We need compromise to support the football pyramid.. they could easily offer a pay cut based on a game reduction

@@harrydrake4173 where do clowns like you come from seriously? Are you asking these players to play everyday? Have you actually looked the crrent football fixtures schedule, theres now literally football every 2-3 days! Top 8 teams in all leagues are playing every 3 days at the least, then off to Nations League, Friendlies or Tournaments. Theres no break, the human body will eventually. Guess what the very player who was complaining about games Rodri gets injured 20mins into the game last week (and I actually hate City) but he was right, the body gives in.

Love the way Alan had an answer and a decent one for every comment thrown his way. Totally agree. Want to watch the best players at the top of their game. Either reduced games or mandatory squad rotation perhaps? Something so that when the players play, they play at their best and not "saving" themselves for another game or playing like they're towing a caravan.

This topic is getting out of hand, players as much as they are played millions, which is an issue used against them and be told to keep quiet because you are getting a lot of money. Well lets look at it this way, when you are employed you are getting payed according to what your contract says or responsibilities. Now this is a typical scenario that is done by the bosses in any company, they hire you to do a certain job and down the line they say, “ ok you are responsible for this and this now “ and you dont get payed for it ( in this case players are complaining about it takes it tall to the body “. To people like Simon or in his world, he says “ i pay you enough or a lot , so dont complain just do as i say “. We forgetting this is a team sport same as players need eachother on the field , owners too need players same as players need the owners and the fans too in this case. I am not saying players must do as they please or get things their way etc. i am saying, considering players play competitively every second or third day and in between they have to train and travel etc. it does take its tall to the body in a long run if you over do it. As for players getting payed a lot, well that is a monster we ( football society ) created. And we brought fame and money into the mix and every body is benefiting from it not only the players.

This in turn leads to them playing internationally. Both result in more games, so in short if you want to earn the big money and get the big sponsorship you HAVE to play more games. At last somebody on the platform talking scene on the subject. Can't believe I'm saying this but well done Pards! Why does Jordan think he's an authority on player fatigue? He's never played professionally, never managed and I don't think he has any qualifications on sports science. It's not the players fault you was the only chairman in English football who went bankrupt during the credit crunch so he needs to stop this vendetta against them and be balanced with his arguments...or maybe he should silence that bitter mouth and listen the actual professionals or at least come with some facts instead of piss and vinegar.

Simon Jordan way of thinking in a nutshell is, "the beatings will continue until morale improves". Games every two days, shut up and do your job, increase of player injuries, Simon Jordan will say players were a lot tougher when I was a club owner. What a joke this guy is, sometimes, hard to reason with a muppet that never played the game, and he doesn't understand that more games will make the players more injury prone and lower the football standards. But when a person comes from the carrot and stick school of economics that's the only thing they understand.

Once again, these people are great at outlining the problem yet don’t have an ounce of a solution to rectify the issue, less games = less money and commercial revenue, simple as that. Maybe reduce the premier league to 16 teams, a load of woke nonsense!

It’s not just playing in games. What about the training as well even if you’re on the bench

@ayoa.o.9966 again, it comes down to the club management training. It can be curtailed, and managed players like rodri dont need to train to improve only maintenance. How did giggs do it?

Have we all forgot that the players are employees, you do what your contract tells you, in this case its play football, teams have squads for a reason its managers fault any talk of burnout. No business asks their employees how much they want to work..get back into the real world, absolute joke, trying working a real job then tell me about being tired. JOKERS

Thank God somebody with sense is speaking... I don't understand why people don't feel like players cannot have a say..... Its weird yo say the least. Players are an integral part of the game and why shouldn't they have a say on things relating on the game.

Adult pretenders just like actors. Disgraceful words. Those who defend this mentality are as much as a problem as footballers.

This scenario is playing out right across our society. All employees are being pushed harder and harder to produce more in less time, for no extra benefits, I Have witnessed the burnout of the work force and the turnover of personnel in the lower and middle management departments is at unsustainable levels, plus the standard of work has dropped off considerably because of!! The same goes for football. Forget about footballer's wages for a moment, or any other work or occupation where you're being TOLD you must produce more with absolutely no concern of the physical and mental well-being of the workforce, whoever that maybe just to meet unrealistic financial gains for a few. Footballers are no different, burnout is inevitable!!
