Looking at the laundry wringer brings back memories. When I was a kid, my grandpa had several original buildings such as a church, blacksmith shop, post office and had also built a museum across the street from his house in Dinsmore, Saskatchewan. We would play in those buildings as children and use all the machines such as the one you showed on this video, the telegraph machine in the post office, horse drawn carts (that I'd sit on and my brothers would run up and down the road pulling me) as well as tonnes of other cool, old things. Keep in mind, I was born in 1971 so the things that were "old" to me would be ancient now, haha. When he decided to sell most of his collections, he had a sale and people came from as far as Ontario to attend and buy things. The Town of Dinsmore also built a museum (Yester Years Museum, which is the name my grandpa had given his museum) and housed some of his collection there. He let us all take a few things that we wanted prior to the sale. One of my favorite pieces was an old glass oil lantern. It was beautiful with not a scratch on it. About 15 years ago, our condo building burnt to the ground and I lost everything. Stuff is stuff - most of it can be replaced, but not those items of my grandpa's. Those are the things I miss the most. Heather 🇨🇦

@@2000ViperGTSsubscribe I like cats too, just not having them live with me. The cat is just like a roommate that sometimes wants attention. I just hate having a litter box. No matter what I try she gets litter on the floor. That and I have to keep nail caps on her nails so she doesn't scratch my furniture. And she sheds like crazy, so I have to shave her during the summer. We found her behind a big dumpster at my husband's work place, she was just a tiny kitten all alone. And when we took her home to get the fleas off, clean her up and feed her until we found her a home, my son and husband begged to keep her, so that is how I ended up with a cat. She is 8 now. My small dogs bring me so much joy. They are always so happy to see me and just hang out with me more. They don't chew on anything and they potty outside. There are just more positives with my dogs imo. I still love my cat, but yeah there are just less negatives with the pups.

@@audreymai2773 You can easily teach that cat not to scratch furniture and not wear nail caps. I have 7 cats and mine do not scratch my furniture. The car HAS to scratch the sheathing off the nails and must have a post that is taller than the cat fully extended and sturdy. Place the catspaws on the post, praise the cat and the cat's post should have Sissle rope or like the backing of carpet. Every time the cat goes to scratch elsewhere, bring the cat to the sturdy tall post and place the cat there. Never hit the cat. Also never get lazy and allow the cat to scratch elsewhere. Keep the cats nails tripped, never going into the red area or even close to it. As far as the litter tracking, easy to solve, they make mats for this reason that work well. I use them and you can buy many types online. Brush the cat too, it is good for the cat, your home and is great interaction for you both. My cats love it and it keeps the hair down in my home and I never have to shave any of my 7 cats. Cat forums will help you and the cat live better together

@@audreymai2773 I think the animals people prefer are a reflection of their own personalities. I like dogs, but they're generally needy and I can't stand barking. Cats are very solitary, much more quiet and don't need as much attention. Also, not all cats need a litter box, some take care of business outside just like dogs. Never had a cat scratch any furniture. But to each their own.

Reminds me of a friend who used to lift stuff from burnt down houses. He gifted me a Lionel train set. It had that burnt house smell when I unwrapped it.
