Since woke culture took over. Hollyweird, the Gay Agenda and national educrats have destroyed our nation. Others’ rights end where mine begin. You wanna be gay? Cool. Just don’t wave your flag in my face and then tell me I can’t be proud of being straight.

Yeah exactly it never did there was a couple of terrible court decisions that ruled adults aren't really adults until like twenty five years old and they could parent students because they were still children and could continue limiting free speech as they did in high-school years

there is no free speech in this country anymore - free speech is long gone . this ''incident'' along with the protest last week at the Yale law school , where students would not let guest speakers speak , to the point the Yale police were called to walk the guest speakers off campus. Yale law school - is filled with some sad privileged elite pukes. ~ JDS/CT

Ikr? I'm white and I couldn't tell you the number of times my family has had fried chicken for supper, but that's pretty much a southern staple. Regardless,I love fried chicken, because it's freaking delicious. 🍗😋

@@codebrker24 Who counts as an actual minority to black woke culture? Evidently not this Native American. If blacks were having a trap house fried chicken party, they think that’s ok though?

It's slander and it is ideologically motivated. It has nothing to do with Colbert doing anything wrong.

If you have a problem with another student's language, resolve the issue or concern in person. If you're going to be a lawyer, in-person communication is key. It's interesting that this controversy involved a Native American student (Cherokee) and unnamed offended African American students accusing him of anti-Blackness. In liberal circles, activists will often use the term "Black and Brown" or "Black and Indigenous" students, implying they share a common struggle. Yet, a Native American student was being accused of racism and classism, seriously?! I'm part Choctaw, and while I'm no conservative or libertarian, this incident is a head scratcher. This reminds me of the incident at USC, when a white professor commenting on the use of "nega" in Mandarin Chinese, was accused of racism by Black graduate students.

This is the problem with gen z, they use words and phrases that they have no idea what the meaning is or the origin of the word is. They don’t even take 30 seconds to look up the meaning. They only think they know what they are saying. But then again Yale administration is ridiculous also, so they all deserve each other.

Thanks for sharing your story Mr. Colbert. Stay strong. I respect your courage and conviction. You've done a really amazing job staying strong, composed and courageous through all this horrible bullying. The bullying seems clearly ideologically motivated and the way you've already used this term and it's also the name of a prominent left-wing group, and no one took issue with either shows further evidence this is clearly ideologically motivated. Politically motivated bullying is among the worst kinds - not that there's a good kind. I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you. The behavior of Yale is clearly illegal. Yaseen Eldik's behavior is appalling and morally outrageous as well as horrifically violating of human, civil and constitutional rights. Thanks for staying strong and courageous and you did great taping Eldik's abuse. I hope this atmosphere of emotional abuse and intimidation, harassment, bullying and extremism of cancel culture and violation of free speech on a systemic basis can be addressed, maybe even fixed. Stay strong and you deserve better. You've been impressively courageous and gritty through all this and I admire this very much. Keep going and stay strong!

Yale was right in this case. An apology was due. He really should have cleared up that he didn't mean to be offensive to anyone. People took it the way they did for a reason and it's because of their marginalized experiences. I could call someone a "n*g*r" and because of my experiences, that's not offensive language. Just rap lyrics. However, if I did so publicly and someone took offense, I would apologize because their experience of that word is different from mine. lol

The first amendment doesn't protect you from your university taking action against you. That being said, if you actually listen to the meeting, they made it clear they didn't think the student did anything intentionally racist. They literally just wanted to give him a heads up that other students might try to make this into a bigger issue going forward so he should just nip this in the bud an issue a 2 sentence apology.
