This movie is Art imitating life... I'm 40 and have chosen to not have kids with my partner because we sadly cant afford to have a kid and it would be irresponsible of us to have one; I also have an unstable income and am struggling to sort my shit out. I see others having kids who not only have minimal skills and job opportunities, but are having multiple kids to different partners as accidents and are a complete drain on the economy and tax payer money and just take, take , take government assistance without giving anything back to the community and laugh about it as if they're outsmarting someone. Occasionally I wonder why I don't jump on this bandwagon and just make the most out of free government money. Is this a fair and just system we live in? My partner and I work hard and we do not get any assistance, yet there are people out there with many kids who have zero skills, are doing sweet fuck all and getting all sorts of free money and for what? Sometimes my partner and I think we should stop caring about the wellbeing of our potential kids and community and just say "you know what fuckit, lets just do it because we want to and can and its the easiest way out". The way the world is going, having kids shouldn't be a human right and should be considered a luxury, a reward for doing good, and working to be a functioning part of society. Is our sacrifice in vain? Probably... fuck all the plebs out there who don't care and are bringing shitty kids into the world with their free money. Thats my rant. As you were. This movie is Great and has me asking so many questions about my life...
