You know we've all been there in that first rack, you weren't trying to cheat him and you owned after the replay. It happens in the APA, but you earned respect by owning it. Don't beat yourself up over it and don't let the comments make you feel guiltier then you already do.

Thanks, Jim. Feels good to hear that. Really appreciate the support.

Appreciate the honesty on the 9 , however the 2 ball hit at 31:16 is also a foul it was clearly frozen , just an observation

Thanks for the comments. The 7-9 was a foul for sure. As for the 2-ball, it was very close to the rail, but you can see that I checked it. There was a tiny gap.

Little tip for you.. the opening rack you were shooting the 2 that was on the rail and coming across table and said you want to get above the side pocket but you got below.remember the hill billy Bryant rule. When coming across table the most you should expect to get is 3 diamonds. You can get 3.5 if you hit it perfect but don’t expect it. So if you would have most likely scratched if you tried to get past that side pocket. It might have been accidental but you shot it right lol

That's really good to know. I don't think I had ever heard it described that way. I might have been visualizing coming that far, but in trusting my automatic process I ended up hitting it the right way. Really interesting. Thanks as always for the great insights, Todd!

@@OnTheSnap also check out buddy halls clock position video. Shows you how to know where exactly the cue ball is coming off the rail. It’s simple and it litteraly changes my position play drastically. Just trying to get you with the rest of us in the 7/9 club brother !! You’re so close !

Do you only play on valley tables?
@OnTheSnap5 ай бұрын
In leagues, it's still mostly Valley tables for me. I have a Brunswick 8' at home, and I love playing on Diamonds and big tables in other formats and tournaments. I wish I had the chance to play on 7' Diamonds more since they're the standard in Vegas now.

1 rail kicks don't have to be hard kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5y0h3qFbc-hjLs its works mechanically the same as the 2 railer

This is such a great method! I can't believe I had never seen this before. I always just relied on finding the middle point and then making best-guess adjustments based on the CB and target being offset from each other. Thanks so much for sharing this; I'll definitely be incorporating this into my game.

Yikes, a bit concerning how you describe the situation with the foul on the 9.

Thanks for the comment, happy to talk about it. Can you say more? Looking back on it, I'm still feeling guilty. Definitely should have turned this one over as a foul, no question about it.

How so? In the moment, he thought it was a good hit. Then after watching and seeing it, he fully admitted that he messed up. This happens all the time in league play. Only there, most don't have video to look back on. And even if they do, most will just say it was good even if they knew it wasn't. I say good for him for being big enough to say he messed up. This is league play. There aren't refs watching every shot. The only thing I would have done different is have someone watch the hit, but that is just as much on his opponent as it is him.

Yeah happens all the time in league play. Shouldn’t happen on this shot at Anthony’s skill level. I also appreciate the honesty, but as Anthony mentions he didn’t call over someone to watch so it’s his responsibility to make a good call. There are some really close calls, this wasn’t one.
@drewvonporte5 ай бұрын
I agree, that it shouldnt happen at this level. Ive been there though, it happens. We know the clowns that take advantage of these moments though, all the way to city championship final match… and I don’t think Anthony is one of them. He owned it, he apologized to his viewers. I say we don’t pull the pitchforks out unless it happens again……. If it does, expect a crucifixion!!!!! 😂😂
