Many factors contributed to Jimmy Clausen’s demise, one being knowing that it was on him to have the ultimate success with his brothers not reaching their full potential. Another being the team was a bad fit Notre Dame went through some tumultuous times under Charlie Weis and that might not have been the best fit for him hindsight being 20/20

Clausen played for Oaks Christian HS in Westlake Village, CA. Private school. Very expensive. Lots of celebrities/athletes kids have gone there.

In 2005 ESPN had a segment where they called him the Lebron of football. This was before Hudl, KZbin and social media were popular so to have ESPN do a feature like that was a very big deal back then. They must have burned/deleted that segment forever because all these years later I cannot find it anywhere.
