Hi, I tried a speed MP XT but using the racquet the day after I develop a wrist pain, this every time I use the speed MP XT. I love this racket in terms of control and power. Do you think the new speed mp is better for my pain? I’d like to buy one but I’m scary that the new model still gives me problems

There is a bit of difference in the overall feel, and performance, with the current Graphene 360+ version having a bit lower stiffness, as well as a bit more swingweight, both of which gives it a bit more comfort, and stability on contact. So overall it should feel more comfortable, but if you want an even more comfortable feel, and maybe play it on the safe side, the Head Gravity MP 2021 will be a good choice. Troy, TW

@Chris! Can't decide between Speed MP 360+ or Gravity Tour Which one do you prefer? I'm taking into account mainly manoeuvrability, power and control
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 4 жыл бұрын
We find the Speed MP to pack a bit more power, feels slightly more firm, and is the more spin friendly of the two. The Gravity Tour offers more control, and more comfort. The maneuverability is pretty close, maybe slightly more maneuverable feeling with the Gravity Tour, being slightly thinner. I know at the moment, Chris is loving the 360+ Speed Pro, and it's his current number 2 behind the TF40 305. Troy, TW

Tennis warehouse So, I asked before about the yonex 97 vcore on the last video. Do you have a couple recommendations on strings? Also, can you give me a recommendation between these strings? Volkswagen cyclone tour(I would like a bit more power and comfort), Volkl v square(I like spin) and finally yonex poly tour pro. Thanks in advance
@tenniswarehouse

It sounds like Volkl Cyclone Tour would be a great option for decent comfort, power, and spin. V-Square will offer a lot of spin potential, but we didn't find the playability duration to be great. Poly Tour Pro is a great choice for comfort, feel, and power, but not quite as spin friendly as Cyclone Tour. Troy, TW

Thanks for the review guys! I'm still hesitating the Gravity MP which I've just demoed and this one I didn't demo yet. I like the Gravity MP but want a tad more power and crisp/cleaner feel at impact. But I like the manoeuvrability of the Gravity MP (not a huge fan of the slightly head balance but the weight is ok for me) and I don't want to loose too much in this area. Is there a big difference in term of manoeuvrability between these 2 models please? I've also demoed the Instinct MP 360 and manoeuvrability was ok.
@tenniswarehouse

I wouldn't say the difference in maneuverability is huge, between the Gravity MP, and Speed MP. That said, if you are concerned with the swingweight number, then you might consider using our MRT services, where we can go into a batch of racquets, and search for the lowest swingweight number in that batch, for a fee. What's the best string for the racket to get the maximum spin? And do you print the logo on the strings with accuracy like the manufacture?
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 жыл бұрын
We usually find some of the shaped poly strings to offer the most spin potential, specifically some of the square shaped polys like Weiss Cannon Ultra Cable, Volkl V-Square, and Tecnifibre 4S offers a lot of grip on the ball and spin potential. That said, for someone with a history of arm problems, like tennis elbow, these strings aren't the best option for arm-comfort. If you are purchasing a racquet from us, and having it strung, we can apply the stencil for you. You just need to make that request when placing the order, so maybe it would be best to make that request by phone. Troy, TW

Hello Team. Which string would you recommend for spin and power? I am 3.5 with good spin on my ground strokes.
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 3 жыл бұрын
Which strings have you tried so far? Typically poly strings will help yield the most spin, but they are also rather firm and not the best choice for arm comfort. Typically if you don't break strings frequently, then we usually recommend other choices besides a full poly. That is where I was thinking a hybrid might be a good choice, something like Wilson Duo Power, or build your own hybrid with something like Tecnifibre Ice Code, and NRG2 or Triax. When it comes to hybrids there are a ton of different options. And if you felt like trying a full poly, then maybe go with a soft one, like Kirschbaum Xplosive Speed, or Volkl Cyclone Tour. Troy, TW

The Speed MP will feel slightly firmer than the Gravity Tour, and also provide a bit easier power. @@tenniswarehouse Hi Troy, just to share my experience. I bought the Speed MP, strung it with Head Hawk Touch 1.25 on 24kg and played with it for about 4 days (4 sessions 1 hour each). And I sold it the next day. I think once you play with the Gravity Tour it is very hard to switch to Speed, especially MP. Compared to Gravity Tour, I lacked the stability, the control, the depth, the slice and interesting even the power! And I was switching to Speed MP from Gravity Tour because I was looking for more power. My conclusion is that Gravity Tour, for some reason I cannot understand, had a lot more power and plough through (same strings same tension). So, I am happy to stay with the Gravity Tour. Regards

If you play with more flatter shots from the baseline, the Speed MP will likely give you a bit better depth control, and still provide decent power. The older versions of the Blade 104, when it was an 18x19 pattern may have been a good option, but with its current 16x19 pattern, it will likely be a bit harder to control on flatter shots compared to the Speed MP. They have many similarities as they are essentially the same frame, but the Pro is a bit heavier, and it has a more dense string, 18x20 to help maximize control, and might work a bit better on flatter shots. It is not listing the balance in points but in inches, so if it lists "1 HL" it is not one point, it is one inch. One inch equals roughly 8 points, which is unstrung, and then when you string it, that will add head weight, so yes our strung spec of 4 points Headlight is pretty close to the target. This has been a very frequent question over the years with Head racquets, because yes it can be confusing. Hope that helps, Troy, TW

Pretty close in power, control, feel for the ball to the Tour 100 (310). The Tour 100 plays a little crisper, and this one a little more dampened, but both offer a good amount of feel. I'm currently using a Pro Staff 97LS (the 2016 version with the black/red paintjob). I want to switch to something with a bit more power. Would this be a good choice to try? I'm a bit worried because the swing weight is quite higher than what I'm used to so I'm not sure if I can handle this effectively. Would the MP Lite be a better option to start with and then customize if I want more heft? While the MP Lite is much lighter than the PS 97LS, swing weight is quite similar according to your website.

If you don't mind customizing the frame, then the MP Lite may be the smarter choice. In order to know how well you would like the higher swingweight on the MP version, you would have to demo it first, in order to know. Troy, TW

@@ngvietquan, we found the G360+ to be an improvement over the G360, that said it is difficult to use the review scores as a comparison in this case. For most Head racquets, there is the possibility to change the grip pallet, but they are not sold here in the U.S. You may be able to find them in Europe, such as: www.tenniswarehouse-europe.com/searchresults.html#search=products&searchtext=pallet&opt_page=1&opt_sort=alphaAtoZ&opt_perpage=20. You would also need to purchase a new butt cap, and need a certain type of staple gun to put the new butt cap on with. So it is possible, but would likely have it done by someone who has done it before, MRT or what not. Also, any alterations to the racquet such as this, can void the manufacturer warranty, if one still exists, most companies cover up to one year for defects. Troy, TW

The average swingweight of this racquet is 328, so if you add the weight at the very bottom of the handle, or right inside the butt cap, then the swingweight should stay about the same.
