This has been my racket of choice for the past 2 years! I have customized it as I’ve played and grown. Definitely has helped me become a better tennis player

Same for me! I absolutely love it and it's hard to switch away.

Really interesting review. I strung this up in a Prince ATS Tour 98 @ 53lbs. It's a peculiar string. Very consistent, smooth hitting, slightly muted feeling, comfortable (but not springy), decent power but not much spin (you really have to work the strings hard with a ton of racquet speed every time to generate spin). It feels like the ball is sliding off the string bed at times rather than digging in. Hitting short cross court shots, where you want the ball to quickly go up/down was a bit more of a challenge as a result. To me, it resembles normal Hawk but with a bit more power. So overall, it wasn't a bad string but neither did it wow me...

Just to add, the string seems pretty powerful to me or loses tension fairly quickly. I might try it at 55lbs next.

Pros still use some head mould from the 90s, 53 lbs is pretty high, would be interesting to know what it would be like at a lower tension like 48

If you look around the 14 second mark there is a Pro Tour 280 on the wall in the background which is that very mold. I realize that was a pretty quick easter egg... The reason I strung it at 53 is because that's what I string my go-to set up with so I try to keep all variables the same for comparison. I will say though, I think Hawk Power in particular would do really well at lower tensions.

Try Lynx Tour mains with Hawk Power crosses. A great combination that addresses your inconsistency concern while also providing amazing longevity!

Hey Luca, what is the best string for the gravity tour, and what tension should I use with the string.

I liked this string but it broke after only 4h of hitting (27/25,5kg). Need to give it one a more chance.

Can you compare this dyeing with Head Lynx Touch? They both look same to me. Kindly help. Thanks,
@RacketsRunnersVancouver

Two very different strings; Lynx Touch is much softer and mushier whereas this is more crisp and spin-friendly.

What do you think of alu power soft vs alu power ?
@RacketsRunnersVancouver
@RacketsRunnersVancouver Жыл бұрын
I haven't played with ALU soft but I usually prefer the non-soft version of strings because I find soft polys can be a little sticky.

What are some very powerful polys
@RacketsRunnersVancouver
@RacketsRunnersVancouver Жыл бұрын
Super soft polys like RPM Soft and Head Lynx Touch tend to be quite a bit more powerful than more traditional ones.

Have you switched to it ? If not which are your main 2-3 strings ?
@RacketsRunnersVancouver
@RacketsRunnersVancouver Жыл бұрын
I haven't switched yet, so much product to test at the moment 😅 I really like Babolat RPM Rough and Lynx Tour. I have a lot more playing time with those strings over the last several years, but Hawk Power is right up there with them. And, of course, ALU Power.

@@RacketsRunnersVancouver I love lynx tour but it’s a heavy string and increases racquets sw by a lot. Currently i am impressed with yonex rev but only on orange color……
