I feel like I have all three causes. It hurts when I touch the spot, and when I touch my neck, and it's absolutely systemic. Chronic migraine sufferer over here.

Great information! I've suffered from cluster headaches for 20 years. It has been difficult. I've found some things that help and am constantly looking for new information. I've watched countless videos and read numerous articles trying to understand my condition. For the first time in a long while I've been blessed with some new and very interesting information gained from watching your video. Thank you so much!

Not only do I feel incredible gratitude for how well articulated this is by you… I can affirm much of it through my own experience. I am trying to arm myself with enough information to help my now in frequent migraines, and also help a dear friend recently diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. The body is quite incredible and I certainly believe that if we get out of our own way it’s made to try very hard to heal itself. Thank you again for this great video that I plan to share.

Thank you! I am sending this to many in groups and docs who may treat trig nerve. It feels hopeless, I haven’t had a meal that’s enjoyable for 5 years. Mine is the result of dentistry gone wrong. I’m exhausted and weary. Validating every aspect & connection (I have them all), I see why my docs are frustrated.

I appreciate ivory of this information. I’ve experienced migraines for 36+ years and just learned at 50 that some of the pain is actually Trigeminal neuralgia (TN). I am leaning a ton about TN now, and you description of the nerve pathways really hit me. It helped me understand and identify the pain and where it’s coming from along with life factors that trigger it. Thank you for posting this! I appreciate you, toodles ✌️😄

For those of you who have TN that comes from C nerves (from the back) i have found a solution to manage the pain. I often get it in the evening just before i get to bed or i get is as soon as i lay down. This is because i work at a desk and my neck is stuck in the same position daily. When my neck gets relaxed in the evening or when i lay down in bed and try to relax my neck the pain starts soooo bad!! What i notice is if i get out of bed, knee in front of the bed, put my head down and gently tilt it left-right,the pain becomes more managable. It is the head down forword position, like you are praying. If this doesn't work,i gently massage my face in the spot the trigeminal nerve separetes in the 3 branches. That spot is just above the ear, where the forhead meets the corner of the eye. If i do this 2 things, the pain stops in 20 minutes and then i can go to sleep. Problem is,if you stay too much in the same position during a day, the C nerves are out of their normal positions and we need to relax them and get them where the're supposed to be by head down forword possition and gently tilting left right. TN has been my enemy for years!! I hate this nerve sooo much!! Hope this helps everyone in pain.

I put pressure in that same spot (around the trigeminal ganglian. It’s right above my jaw in a depression right in front of my ear. My migraines are always on my right side in that area. I can hear my pulse when it’s really bad. What I do it press a finder into that area and apply cold compress and it alleviates the pain. I also clamp a small binder clip to parts of my ear lobe and that sort of blocks the pain, too. It sounds odd but I find that pressure works.

Wow, the explanation from this guy is great! I am currently receiving Prolotherapy to my neck to resolve this issues! I also started a blog on my you tube channel for the updates, never done videos before but hopefully it could help others with these issues.

What a great video and fantastic education on this. I'm wondering if trigeminal nerve pain can be experienced in the roof of the mouth, or if that's palatine nerve pain, and if they affect each other. I'm currently having stabbing ice pick headaches through the roof of my mouth, but also some nerve pain in the sinus cavity next to the bridge of my nose on the same side as the roof of the mouth pain. Maybe a sinus infection, although I don't have any other symptoms, might be irritating both of those nerves resulting in icepick headaches?

Know this is an older video. I get a headache when I go out in cold windy weather or in an air conditioned room or car. When I touch the underside of my eyebrow I can feel the pain increasing also when I press around both ears. Would massaging or placing a heat pack the recommended way to relax the nerves in these areas?

Wow this explained so well! I have issues with atypical trigeminal pain all 3 branches constantly along with dizziness and migraine symptoms. My c1 and c2 are out of alignment and tilt toward the side of the trigeminal pain. Sometimes when the pain is horrible if I press the base of skull and neck it will stop the burning pain. Can you explain more on this or respond to this?

I’m here because I think there’s a correlation between the trigeminal nerve and migraines.

I spent years without medication and then finally in 1993 and the check came to me. It’s like nectar of God and then down to the years of other things have come. I went on Topamax and then Imitrex in between and now there is a new drug that I’m taking is called Ubrelvy. the doctor hopes to get me off of Topamax I don’t know. I’m afraid of that but I’ve been on it for 17 years. I’m having a migraine today. I am over the age to stop having them I’ve been having them since I was very young.

No way . TN is not a pressure pain .

Cluster Headache cycles since 1985, pretty sure one of my ancestors offspring were cursed by God and I'm living it out. Cluster shouldn't be called "Headache" it's an attack! Like a pinched nerve.

I have the same since 1993 and today I discovered a guy who thinks the same as you, a pinched nerve, and explain it ! And he gives a fix and it seems to work on me. Good luck to you, here the vid: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b37Il6eGlMd0ibc
