Not sure... it doesn't seem to snow to low in Otago, might have to venture back into Canterbury. Hope you guys are well, and well done to Jacob, you must be a proud Dad.

Beautiful. Aoraki/Mount Cook is my favourite place. When I first went there as a child in the 1960s, there were no Tasman, Hooker & Mueller Lakes. While sad that the glacier ice has retreated, the lakes that have formed add to the beauty of the dramatic landscape. I'm glad you all got the winter experience you were seeking. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing your images of the hoar frost next.

Well here in Murchison, we had an overnight temperature of neg 3°C. Definitely not shorts and jandels weather. 😅 Loving it. A mate gave me a great tip on insulation of caravans, is basically to cut packing polystyrene 10mm to size of your windows and inserting into all the windows. Cheapest form of double glazing you'll find anywhere. I still like the idea of a small woodstove for heating. That's my preference. Anyway, thanks again for sharing. Thank you again for sharing. Stay safe.

-3 is still very cold aye, makes for a nice big frost. We've def had some big frosts since this video last night was our coldest night on -7.8 and in the snow, which has been cool... Luckily our windows are all double glazed which makes a big difference, more cold comes through the walls I think

that looks really cold! How do you store you water so that the tank doesn't freeze and split?
@leopardsgowild2 ай бұрын
the tanks are under the floor, so they might get some help not being on the ground, and also not exposed to the sinking cold air at night, being under the caravan. the more water in them the better, I guess if you stayed in sub zero for a coupke of weeks you'd have some problems

Wifes body struggles in the cold, 2x back surgeries and 2x knee, so the cold affects that quite a lot. She prefers to have the beautiful scenery, because even if we were at home in Rotorua the cold would still cause her problems, so should would prefer the winter scenes....
