Impressive. I will be doing this sometime soon.. I have watched a few videos whereby they ‘lacquer’ the lens after polishing… so I might do that too.

@@malcolmyoung7866 Thanks, personally I wouldn’t lacquer it as it may crack and peel off later and just make it more difficult to polish in a few years.

Had a ‘go’ in my drivers side headlamp. Must admit it cames up great and I thought I had smashed the process.. but when I stopped using the wet and dry(as per your video) the the lens was a bit more dull that it was before. I was lazy and used a bottle of glass cleaner (yep, I know) and I’m not sure what’s in that.. should have just used water. As I was rebuilding/refurbing the front end(arches/shocks/hubs/intercooler/as per your vids etc) I didn’t try to polish it so that will be done next week. Thought I had ‘mucked up’ but watching this vid again has just brought home to me that it’s the compounding/polishing that makes stuff shine. Thanks for posting these videos the are most interesting.. next I might fix my diesel heater.. it works when it’s not meant to so have ‘pulled’ the 5 amp fuze for now. Cheers ..
