If Colin Cowherd wants to say that the Patriots were within 6 inches of 6 Super Bowl wins, he should also say they were a few inches from 0 Super Bowl wins. He said "when you beat 'em you barely beat 'em." Well, when they win, they barely won. They didn't really dominate anybody in their wins either. I think the 4 they got is a fair number, to say they could have had 6, well they could have had 0, 2, or 3 as well.

Mike Frederick Um...football isn't gymnastics you win by scoring points more than ur opponents so that's why the Pats win Super Bowls. They do just enough to win and that's all u need; Giants also won two Super Bowls that could be considered fluky by a combined 7 points but people give them so much credit. Why? Eli has won ZERO playoff games outside of those two Super Bowl seasons and has MISSED THE PLAYOFFS SIX TIMES. Brady only three one and done seasons and 1 missed playoff season.

Mario Manningham caught that ball on a 1st and 10 during the Superbowl. If he would've dropped it, there were 3 other downs for the Giants to make a play. David Tyree? That was a 3rd and 5. If Tyree drops it, it's not hard to imagine the Giants converting on 4th and 5. Both were great plays, but people take away too much credit from the Giants for those wins. As for this video, I think you're spot on with the Pats. They always find very creative loopholes/strategic measures for many situations. One of my favorite of theirs is whenever the Patriots force a turnover, the offense rushes on to the field, quicksnaps the ball, and Brady bombs it to the end zone. Sure enough, they score most of the time doing this. And it absolutely shatters any momentum the opposing team had.

I agree with you on the Manningham point but you have to also consider the yardage gained by that David Tyree Catch. I don't imagine that on 4th and 5 they go for a 32 yard prayer that gets them just outside of comfortable field goal range, and without that sudden cushion in play time the offense is put in much more of a disadvantage. Again, I am mostly speaking on hypotheticals but that catch was a huge game changer.

Slutha Slutha Problem is Manning uncharacteristically scrambled from a 10 yard sack that would have made it 4th and 15 deep in thier own territory so your defense of the Tyree catch is pretty flawed.

As far as this instance with the radio is concerned I fell as though the Patriots are innocent. Just as stated at the beginning of the video, everyone was watching them, and New England a lot of things but dumb isn't one of them so I don't think they'd attempt something like that during a meaning less preseason game because the consequences of being caught greatly outweigh the benefits of not.

This might sound like it's a bad thing, but the NFL fans will always get a great Superbowl when the patriots are in, win or lose. I'm a pats fan, and i want them to obviously win, but at the end of the day i just want a Superbowl to remember, not a blowout!

I don't want to make excuses for the Steelers on that game because their secondary just wasn't good enough that day but During the problem with the radio The Patriots all of a sudden go into a no huddle offense and march down field against an opponent that can't rally it's defense. To me that is cheating. In computer game terms it's called 'exploiting a bug for your gain' and in online games it's classed as cheating and is a bannable offence. The Steelers didn't lose that game because of the radio issues in any case. They lost it because on (I think) 2 seperate occasions they got a 1st and goal on the Patriot 1 yard line and only scored 3 points from it. Not good enough. Good thing we bounced back agaisnt the 49'ers though.

And then I agree, Seahawks run at the 1 yard line and in the 3 attempts they had they were probably going to get it in and win, but the Seahawks lost themselves that game, not the Patriots. You could swing it the other way and say the Patriots are 6 inches from 6 superbowls

What about the fact that Vinateri kicked an impossible field goal? Or the fact that Jermaine Kearse had a LUCKY catch that got Seattle to the 1-yard line? Or hey, let me take it a step further. What about that lucky ass David Tyree Catch? Or Asante Samuel's dropped INT? Or Wes Welker's dropped catch? You say without those two things Brady only has 2 super bowls, I say that without those things I named, Brady is 6-0 in Super Bowls. That's the beauty of the what if game.

Brady without any superbowls is better than anyone in history. The most decorated QB in history. Highest winning pct. Most post season tds, passing yards, etc.
