Bursitis is caused when the bursae are injured and become inflamed - from dehydration, direct injury or over use. Bursitis is an inflammatory condition - it typically happens near the larger joints (shoulders, elbows, hips, knees) or really anywhere there's a joint.
Bursitis comes on pretty quickly and is quite painful, with the affected area looking very swollen, red and with limited range of motion.
You can heal bursitis naturally with the following steps:
1. Ice (ok on bursa, not really on tendons and ligaments)
2. Compression - keeps the bursa from filling even more with fluid
Then, use a 3-pronged natural medicine approach:
1. Anti-inflammatory botanical (herbal) medicines like Bromelain and Curcumin
2. Omega-3 fats for lubrication of the joint and irritated tissue around the bursae
3. Proteolytic enyzmes - these are Mother Nature's clean up crew and they help remove the inflammatory chemicals in the area that are aggravating the condition, and help speed healing.
Be sure to use all three approaches for the fastest way to heal bursitis!

I just wanted to give you an update. My bursitis is gone!! Thank God!! Also I found a wonderful stretching workout that has been amazing for me. It is called Essentric‘s. I believe that doing this work out regularly along with taking the supplements recommended in this video, have helped improve my health. My bursitis is gone and although I still have some pain on my right shoulder and arm it is not to the same level that I had it in the beginning and I am able to sleep better now. I feel so much better and I am grateful that I found your KZbin video that led me to your company.

I had elbow bursitis about 18mths ago. I was glad I went to hospital as it had become infected and was quickly taken to ER and on a drip for 24hrs. Natural therapies can be good but there are conventional treatments that also need to be considered. Mine got pretty serious!

I don’t see anyone on the internet advocating hot kaolin poultice which pulls out the excess fluid. That’s what my mother used on my dad’s elbow bursitis in the 1960s. There is an Australian company making clay patches which do the same thing.
@naturalathleteclinic
@naturalathleteclinic 2 ай бұрын
This is a type of clay poultice; they were used for their emollient and astringent properties to provide heat, act as a counterirritant and dry the area to which it was applied.

First off thanks for a very straight forward informative video. I noticed the bursitis fairly early when it was still less than the size of a golf ball. Pain was minimal so I increased fluids, did a compression bandage at first and then gently massaged the bump after that. I had a noticeable decrease in a week and near complete recovery in two weeks. Any thoughts on using MSM? Omega 3 and chondroiton looks like they will be in my future now that I'm pushing 50 and still very athletic. Thanks again.

I'm at this very stage right now, still relatively small, I got it after falling onto my elbow incorrectly during Muay Thai training, I'm going to follow your advice: fluids, compression bandage. When did you start massaging it? Thanks for your advice in advance!
@lasker31
@lasker31 3 жыл бұрын
I started massaging right away. Not so much for pain but mainly to redistribute the fluids into the surrounding tissue. Then put the compression bandage on to keep it from refilling. I took msm at the time cause I had it on hand but honestly don’t know how much it helped. Good part is I’ve had no reoccurrence. Good luck, this Doctor is one of the best I’ve come across online for athletes. Be sure to follow him.

I had soreness on my left elbow when I put my body weight on it (like at night when turning in bed) for a few months, then about 3 weeks ago I suddenly had a ball on my elbow....I don’t remember any blunt trauma but I do work stocking merchandise and often push and pull kind of heavy carts and move boxes. Could this cause bursitis?? I have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor to get it drained but I prefer to use natural treatments. Also having lots of pain in my right shoulder and into my arm. I’m 55 and concerned this might be related to arthritis??? I’ve always been drug free and relatively healthy so I’m perplexed and concerned by my decline in how I’m feeling.

I had an episode of "eczema", 80% of body skin became inflammated. Then I was giving oral steroids 30 mgs per day, reduce very five days by 5 mgs, till get to 0. Ten days after taking the steroids I got the elbow bursitis with no major activity as I'm trying to heal the eczema. I wonder is there is an underlying condition and it's reflecting on this inflammations. I would appreciate any views, comments. thanks

Skin health is a reflection of what's going on inside - eczema, bursitis, etc are inflammatory conditions. Look at your diet and gut health for the cause.

Oh dude. I have been able to keep my daughter from getting flare ups in excema with turmeric. Swear it’s magic and better than anything doctors have given me for her and she gets it so bad. Now we are staying pretty clear going on 6 years. She takes three capsules throughout the day during a flare up and one a day when no flare up. I can tell when she gets lazy and doesn’t take it cause her skins gets red and puffy in her areas like knees, elbows and neck, behind the ear. So I make her take it and it goes away. She says it cuts the itch before you see it go away. I get mine off Amazon. We order the Bio Swartz brand. For the record, I began using it first after a brain injury from a car accident. The doctors did nothing. Said wait and rest. It was only after a while that I saw her scratching in her sleep and considered could it work for her. Found so many people online who’d said they began taking it for some other reason and it healed their excema. So the next day we tried it on her. One capsule and we went up to three by the end of the week to see her tolerance and result. Three was the magic dose. I know she skips sometimes now but not more than a day or two.
