The Philippines experienced a lot this first quarter of the year. There is the Taal volcano eruption and ash fall that devastated a lot of families and communities in Southern Tagalog region for weeks from January to February, an earthquake incident in Southern Mindanao region this February, and this 2019 Coronavirus renamed as NCOV ARD and then renamed again as COVID-19 that started to affect the Philippines beginning in late January and then became worse from that point until now. The entire Philippines is now under state of calamity. The entire Luzon island mainland and its neighboring islands accordingly are under Enhanced Community Quarantine including Metropolitan Manila area. Metropolitan Manila area is also under a total lockdown. There is also a ban for all land, domestic air, and domestic sea travels from and to Metro Manila for one month from March 15 to April 14 this year. There are also bans of international travels from countries with confirmed COVID cases. Other local cities and municipalities or provinces also have their own forms of bans, lockdowns, and community quarantines based on national orders. In where I live, though very far from Metro Manila and from places with confirmed positive COVID cases, we have a ban from all people and travelers from other places in the country and from neighboring cities and provinces. Only products, goods, foods, and other necessities are allowed to get in and pass through out city to other places, and only if they have complete certifications. People can travel from out city going out of our city to other places, but not the other way around. Starting today, we also have a form of local lockdown and are all tasked to stay at home and do community and personal quarantine. People are only allowed to go out in public and travel around our city if they are professionals in medical field, armed forces, police, and other necessary frontline agencies and institutions for this situation, and if they go out to buy food and water or medicine, or if they need to go to the hospital. All public events, secular and nonsecular are restricted and cancelled. Religious gatherings of all faiths are also cancelled and restricted guided by each religions' and denominations' councils and leaders. All events for Lent and Holy Week are also cancelled. We are all tasked to wash our hands with soap and running water for at least 20 seconds frequently wherever we go or even at home, always wear medical masks when going outside or even indoors, observe at least 3 feet or 1 meter social distancing especially in public places, avoid body contacts with others especially with strangers, always use alcohol and or hand sanitizers, stay safe and healthy, stay indoors always as possible, keep our nutrition and immune systems healthy and strong, avoid going out our houses unless we need to buy food and water or go to hospital or if one is a frontliner professional or employee in medical field, armed forces, police, and other important agencies or institutions. All national television networks and channels who were mostly based in Metro Manila changed their programming, concentrating more on current news, public affairs, and coverage of the situation, and entertainment and other non-news programs are now mostly pre-recorded, pre-taped, pre-produced, and replay shows, programs, and episodes 'cause all staff, crew, productions, and celebrity employees of television networks, channels, and entertainment programs are mostly within Metro Manila and are all under lockdown and enhanced community quarantine, and are not allowed to go to work to shoot, tape, produce, record, and work on shows and programs. Mostly all works (except frontline works such as those in medical fields, armed forces, police, etc.) and all schools and school levels are cancelled in the whole country especially within enhanced community quarantine and lockdown areas. Public places, touristy areas, malls, parks, etc. are now all eerily empty or sparsely populated with people. Some malls, department stores, grocery stores, convenient and or variety stores, restaurants, fast food chains, and other related establishments are also closed. Most agencies, institutions, establishments, companies, and workplaces are also closed while allowing their employees to do their jobs in a work at home format. National and local television and radio stations all have segments or infomercials about the COVID-19 situation, guidelines, tips, health infos, etc. All of them also have infomercials reciting and stating prayers for the COVID-19 situation especially the prayer of the Catholic Church's Oratio Imperata in English or in Filipino language or other local languages which are done by most national and local TV and radio stations and channels. Some national and local radio stations and channels also have prayers for the other Christian denominations and for the Muslims for this COVID-19 situation, but most are doing the Catholic Oratio Imperata (because the Philippines is mostly Catholic Christian-dominated, most of the Filipinos are Catholics, and most national and local TV and radio stations are Catholic-dominated). Situations and cases are different from place to place, city to city, municipality to municipality, province to province, and region to region in the Philippines, and every individual, personal, household, and community experiences, situations, and context of this situation are also different and unique per person and per place or area. Let's just all try to be safe and healthy, follow all guidelines given by the government and frontline government agencies, stay indoors, and hope and pray to God that this situation will end, and that we can all again go out freely, travel, mingle, socialize, study, work, and live safer like what it used to be or even better than what it used to be. Let us all be knowledgeable, wise, strong, brave, and concerned with this situation we are all into, but also to keep kind, humble, compassionate, helpful, loving, hopeful, and prayerful even we are asked to be far from each other and from one another. It's a lockdown in our country Philippines right now because of convi 19 for a month. its very hard but I know we can since we are Filipinos, survivors. There's a curfew right now from 9pm to 5am and there's a window time to get food, water, medicine etc. Only one person per household are allowed to go outside to avoid further spread or getting the virus and bring it back home. Sometimes Its easy to see on TV or internet what's happening in Wuhan China before but when your the one experiencing its really scary and hard. Right now there are 217 confirmed cases reported in the Philippines but I think there's more since we don't have enough test kits for every person's. But I would like to say thank you to people like our beloved President Duterte and his people (doctors, nurse, army, police, public servants like mayor) who are doing there jobs properly. To the rest of the people in the world stay strong and follow what is being said to you by your government. Be cooperative. We will survive.

I own a water refilling station here and im not supposed to close because of my product is a necessity.. I do delivery too.. Praying is the only weapon i have to avoid the virus.. As the one who is permitted by the government to go out to buy supplies. I always get scared and skeptical when going out, especially going home. Cleaning my self when I got home, pour water with bleach to my legs and feet, wash my hands, put the clothes and masks I wear to the laundry, take a bath, and then alcohol. I always feel dirty and the though that I will catch this scares me, especially taking it home and infecting people without knowing it. Those frontliners are really admirable, putting aside the anxiety and stuff, doing their job in the most dangerous place one can ever be right now.
