I always hated the thought that i was doing it wrong. Wasnt until i looked at the chart on edit mode that i knew it was wrong and back in those early years i couldnt tell if it was on purpose or not

I played on a sn1 cab, and it was mind boggling to see some songs with 12ths properly placed, like matsuri j summer. Meanwhile, you still had broken charts like this, tsugaru, and bag to name a few

I love how you can now just watch an actual person match the auto performance of this song.

I've been playing ddr since 2004 and have only ever heard people refer to green notes as 12ths. Triplets is new to me.

DDR Hottest Party 3, 4, and 5 have 32nd notes that are green.

Triplets are what they’re actually called musically
@DrMario-2 жыл бұрын
@@Espik_23 yeah, I had the opposite problem. I always called them triplets cause that’s what they are in music.

Yeah there's no such thing as a 12th note in music since everything is divided by two (whole, half, quarter, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 etc.).
@tarosykes2 жыл бұрын
@@SnowboardinNinja Since the terms used there refer to how much a note takes of the bar, 12th notes (quaver triplets) and 24th notes (semiquaver triplets) make sense and are often used in modern American contexts :)

what i find weird is that i had extreme 2 on ps2, which had triplets, but then i got supernova on ps2 later, which had triplets, but not for this song

Yep before DDR X certain songs like Healing D Vision, Tsugaru, Bag, Burning Heat! 3 Option Mix and other songs with triplets were notorious for having quantization issues. Most 6th, 12th, 24th or 48th notes were mapped to the nearest 64th or 32nd. Healing D Vision and Bag were the most notable though, Healing D Vision was quantized to the nearest 16th (nearest 8th for the 360 BPM speedup), while Bag was at the nearest 32nd and 64th. The original broken chart of Bag can still be played as it's Challenge chart on newer arcade mixes.

Do you know any other songs that have been slightly changed? (like bag and Horatio, for example. I'm not sure about any other examples.)

+Sepharig Gaming maybe "Burning Heat (3 Option Mix)" is expected to be different, but not sure. I will check it later.

The original chart on SN2 didn’t have triplets (green notes) which are completely different rhythm from 16ths(yellow notes). If you listen closely, the one on the right goes faster, but doesn’t match with the music

I think it has something to do with no triplets so if anything the notes have offset a few milliseconds behind but it’s still normal settings with no altering
