Hi Heidi, Thank you so much for this wonderful overview of the benefits of eggshells. I have thrown them into my bone broth when making it and I have also used them in my garden. I think this is a great idea that you have of grinding them and making a supplement along with magnesium!! Magnesium has been a life saver for me!! Also, I recently read that you can put egg shells in vinegar and let them soak for a few days until the shells are soft. Once this happens, you can soak a rag in the vinegar egg shell liquid and then use the rag to put on your body - like knees - where you may have aches and pains. This was so fascinating to me. Also - on your topic of eating....My husband and I try to eat our main meal at lunch too and then something small in the evening...maybe just bone broth for me. (My husband works at home so it is easier to eat lunch together.) Doing this has helped me tremendously. I cured myself of GERD by eating earlier (and the bone broth helped tremendously) and this mini fasting is the only thing that has helped me finally lose weight - and I am in my early 60s!!! I have lost 30 pounds so far (still have more to go, but this is a great success.) I wanted to share this for any of your viewers who are in their 60s and struggling with weight loss. I love the way you said you are hardcore...LOL!!...me too!! My husband gets a kick out of me. When he heard your video playing, he said...”Wow!!...that lady could be your best friend!” Yes, Indeed!! 😀 Thanks for all the info that you share. Love, Mary ❤️😘❤️

TennesseeGirl - So true!!! I tried everything and was really struggling. Plus I had terrible indigestion. A friend of mine suggested intermittent fasting by making my main meal in the middle of the day. And then not eating again until 14 hours passed. If I am hungry, I have bone broth in the evening or herb tea. In the morning, I have coffee with raw cream and a light breakfast. It has taken me awhile but it has been a godsend. I have more to lose but this is much easier to follow than any strict diet. I am off one of my blood pressure meds and eventually should be able to get off the other. I also wanted to mention that I make sure to walk a minimum of 10,000 steps per day. (I wear an old fashioned pedometer.) And I also do all my own house cleaning and gardening. Hope this helps!! ❤️😘❤️

I watched your egg dehydration video 3-4 times in the past two days (the powdered eggs are in my storage area now) and after hearing you talk about the shells I had to watch this video (the other one is next). "Maybe eggshells won't work for you, and maybe you're glad" - that made me laugh out loud!🤣I had very few issues with menopause, probably because it was around that time I was diagnosed with cancer (caught early, removed with surgery, no further treatment - praise God, because then I didn't have to do battle with the medical community - since I would not have been willing to go through chemical or radiation poisoning to make them happy). I started seeing a naturopath, and while I'm sure the supplements helped (they were also VERY expensive, and I don't like taking 20-25 capsules & 3-5 tinctures a day, every day, for four years) what really made a difference is when I started craving salads - I ate a salad every evening, filled an 11" dinner plate stacked 2" deep with greens, with farm fresh eggs & radishes & carrots & cashews & capers & leeks & cheese & black olives, for a few weeks and felt wonderful! Then I skipped for about two days, at the same time stress was high & I ate candy - BOOM! Hot flashes - went back to my salads, all was well. I am intrigued by Mary's Nest's comment about putting eggshell-vinegar soaked cloth on painful points. May try that...eating eggshells, not so much 🙂...I have to eat anyway, may as well get what I need from the foods I eat whenever I can. I truly cannot thank you enough for all the information you share - you've not only educated me, you've inspired me as no other has - and I am benefitting from your selflessness. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Thank you for talking about women being designed to stop producing estrogen and that we designed to go through menopause! We have been trained to believe that our bodies need hormone replacement therapy in order for us to feel good later in life and it's a lie. It is also true that the continuing to have estrogen in our bodies, after the point it's been meant to deal on it's own without it, does in fact lead to a very high cancer risk. If we put into our bodies what we ought to through our food, we CAN feel good, WITHOUT hormone replacement therapy! But we have to do our homework because we've never actually been taught how to take care of ourselves. Thank you for your videos! You are a wealth of information! I also really enjoy your this - and - that videos! Always a pleasure! God's mighty blessings to you and Mr Rain!

I add eggshells/ powder to smoothies they blend very well. I’ve also read the membrane in the eggshells helps with joint pain as well. Was told I had osteoporosis 7 years ago. I refused the meds, ( totally ticking off the doctor) started research, and discovered that weight bearing exercise and magnesium was the ticket! On my next DEXA scan, the numbers had actually improved. Bone is constantly cycling. Like hair or fingernails, bones are constantly sloughing off old and gaining new in an otherwise healthy person.The meds actually cause brittleness in bones, which in turn makes one more vulnerable to breaks.
@daysoftheboo2 жыл бұрын
Thank you I'm so glad I saw this comment I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis myself at age 39, I also don't want to take the meds I want to get my bones healthy naturally I know why I have it at this age from years of under eating over exercising starving my body of nutrients, in my early twenties I was eating 500 calories a day even though I slowly over time increase my calorie intake I never went over 2000 calories and that was a big big mistake because I've always been very active and active people should eat 2,500 to 3,000 calories and now my poor bones need me to do right by them and the rest of my body because I also lost muscle, though I don't know if I can bake my egg shells because I don't know how to use my oven and I'm not sure if it works I wonder if I can bake them in the microwave or just boil them and let them dry and use a coffee grinder along with increasing my calorie intake taking supplements making sure I eat enough and get my bones healthy the natural way ♥️♥️♥️🙏🏻🙏🏻
@7watertiger2 жыл бұрын
@@daysoftheboo you can dry them in the sun. Do NOT use microwave for them as microwaving anything basically kills nutritive value of most foods. Do some research on natural bone strengthening. Weight bearing exercise is a tremendous help. Walking is a great start.🙂

@@7watertiger oh good I can definitely sun-dry them I could even let them air dry overnight yes luckily I love exercising I've always exercised it's just that I made the mistake of over exercising and under eating for all these years but now when I exercise I'm focusing on strengthening my muscles and now strengthening my bones and making sure I take in enough calories it's been difficult but I'm determined to get my bones healthy again naturally, it's not easy and I do have moments where I feel very scared especially when I hear the horrible stories of fractures but I'm always motivated and I'm not giving up on my health and body ♥️🙏🏻♥️

This information is great. I have been buying farm fresh eggs for a while now and have also bought a coffee grinder so all I need are the gel caps. There is another amazing benefit from eating the shells is the membrane that is attached inside. It has been marketed as natural eggshell membrane and first hand experience for me and two of my dogs was it greatly relieved the pain of our arthritic hips. When I ran out of the bought supplement, I just peeled the membrane from the shells for me and hand grind the whole shells for my dogs and add it to their food.

Hi Heidi, my late wife took hormone estrogen therapy and later was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer! After that she lost her battle with cancer. I just happened upon this youtube by accident searching for egg shell benefits . Very interesting the advantages of eating egg shells. I boiled some, ground them up, added some honey and a squeezed lemon. I looked at the results and had second thoughts about eating those crunchy little pieces that we all come across when we fry or boil an egg and crunch on pieces left!! So, after watching your video I see the benefits of eating the egg shells for the Magnesium and calcium. I have also heard that is supposed to address ED. All interesting stuff provided by "Mother Nature" and we tend to throw away. I won't be throwing away anymore egg shells!! Thanks, David

Hi Heidi. I have osteosporosis. Six months ago I started taking 'ground/powdered ' organic egg shells, 1/2 tsp, morning and afternoon. Each 1/2 teaspoon is about 600mg. With it I take magnesium citrate, 250mg, powdered. Boron is also an excellent trace mineral to help us absorb the calcium and magnesium. We only need about 3mg of boron. So I eat about 3 tsp. of organic raisins at the same time. I will have another bone density test in November. I hope it will have reversed my osteosporosis. I eat a very healthy diet so I am getting most of my vitamins and minerals from FOOD and herbs. I love your channel and energy. Take care.

Heidi, I would like to get your views on thyroid medication in a particular situation. I fought with doctors over the hormone replacement until the only answer they had to the "necessity " of this medication was to provide needed calcium "at my age"! (By the way I stopped) I am still on thyroid medication since 1974. I have wanted to quit for years now. Naturally doctors tell me I cannot. That my thyroid will no longer function after so many years. I don't trust that answer any more than the hormone argument. How long were you and Mr. Rain on thyroid meds before you stopped? Yes, I have watched that video but you did not mention how long you had been taking meds. PS... I am ordering some things to make wine from your Amazon link. 😉

When i am off grid, I need to find ways to get natural vitamins & minerals.....thank you for this, I've already started grinding egg shells down and placing in my veggie garden. I had to come find you video on this again before I started ingesting myself....and convince family to take also.

Yep. Menopause does affect the teeth and you MUST up your calcium and magnesium. ALWAYS take these two together as they help one another.

That is so cool! :D I’m going to try and make egg shell powder and almond paste. I’m also curious about my hormonal imbalance cause of PCOS which lead to irregular periods since my early teens. What kind of minerals should I consume to regulate them?

Ground eggshells are also good for plant soil amendments. I use them in my aloe vera soil and they are huge.

Yes, I have used them in my garden and thought I mentioned that here but maybe that was in a different video

Erin Plourde-Bragg My Chew-WOW-WOW (aka Chihuahua) is almost 14. I recently began giving her bone broth every day. She LOVES it mixed in with her dry food and her health is improving. Of course she also LOVES her vegetables and fruits. Did I mention peanut butter? ;) Might you have some suggestions for her? Thanks so much in advance. My red wigglers get a daily supply of powdered eggshells. I hadn't thought before about giving them to my Chi. I think I'll try that, too.

Eggsellent Video! Ha. Really a great video! I share your feelings on all that you discussed although i havent tried egg shells yet, im going to tomorrow. I bet they could be easily hidden in a smoothie for those that couldnt take them straight up. Im gonna try them both ways. Thank You Sooo Much! God Bless!

I bet it wouldn't be hard to grind them in a coffee grinder to a powder consistency and use it in many capacities.

@@debbiewhite1733 I have a second hand (is there any other kind?) blender that I use exclusively for egg shells. I make a fine powder of them for my worms.

Love this video Heidi.. I was injured and had to get a check up..long story short the Doctor was speechless finding-out I hadn’t had any symptoms with menopause or any after moisture issues. I am however a high raw certified organic non-gmo vegetable and fruit consumer as well as juicing daily for decades now. I am in my 61st year. I am here to say I agree with your findings. 💕👍🏼

During menopause, I read a great book about magnesium’s benefits. It also brought out that more calcium than magnesium is incorrect. We need more magnesium than calcium. I am so grateful I read this book. I finished menopause at 52 and I am 65 now. I supplement with magnesium but not calcium. My bones and teeth are good and strong. My blood test results are good.

Hi, Was looking for the video of the proper prep of eggshells for grinding into powder an making supplement. Thanks in advance.Be blessed.
@RainCountryHomestead5 жыл бұрын
I do not think I have a video on that alone, it is simple though, just wash, allow to dry, then put in a blender or coffee grinder. Some like to boil or bake them for 10 minutes to prevent salmonella before grinding but I have never bothered with this.

You always have such great information and love that you can go hard core! Me too and I saw that someone suggested adding the egg powder to whey to create a continuous ferment that’s even more easily absorbed so I’ve started that now. Thank you once again!

This is an awesome video. Do you think it would help young girls with period pains? I used turmeric and helped a lot. Now am in menopause! And what you have said about the teeth. Interesting. Heidi thank you for sharing.
@RainCountryHomestead6 жыл бұрын
I am not sure how it would work for menstrual pains, but I think my feverfew and catnip pain remedy wold work great for that. Or even a bit of valerian root tincture as it is a good muscle relaxer.

Thank you for sharing. I am in my early sixties and I started doing the intermittent fasting late last year. However, I started to have problems sleeping. I research and I found out that it was lack of magnesium. I am very happy that I looked at your video. I will try the egg shell. I only use local yard fowl eggs. Is this ok too?? I will start today. I do use Almond nuts too. God's blessings to you.
