Thanks for this video, so helpful for me to understand the topic. Just few weeks ago, I started wearing a smart watch but my experience is very very uncomfortable with it. As I was already suffering from disturbed sleep patterns and frequent migraine, it increased both of my issues so much I felt sever anxiety and depression while wearing it 24 hours. In the starting days, I was too excited to have this amazing "fitness gadget" but within a week I felt like I'm in an ICU room, all the time connected with monitoring devices. I don't understand why we adopt every insane technology so quickly without having sensible thoughts about its dangers and now we are entering in another insane world metaverse!

We're so sorry to hear that you had these symptoms from wearing your smart watch. But glad that you were able to deal with it effectively so quickly- by simply not using it any longer. It's true- there is a big tendency for people to adopt every new tech as soon as its released. In fact, most people don't realize how all this tech is released without any long-term testing into potential health effects. this is very interesting.recently on a trip to thailand i bought a xiaomi smartwatch. about half way through my trip around the time i started wearing it i started to get heart palpitations.i thought was alcohol and blamed that but i noticed when my battery ran out on the watch on the day i took the plane home my heart immediately felt normal again.got home didnt use it for two weeks and everything normal.then yesterday i put it on and noticed just few hours later same issue.not conclusive but i think its the watch causing the issue.i didnt notice any issues with the miband from same company/i will conduct more experiments.

I just bought my very first Smartwatch on 21st July 2023. After few days, I felt dizziness, headaches and fatigued when wearing it for a long time. But I am not weaving it while sleeping.

Thanks for the video and knowledge. I just considered buying smart watch for my mom for Christmas... But now it doesn't seem like a good idea 😔. Do you think smart watches can be only used for checking time and health issues like ECG, weight etc. , without any wireless connection to the phone?
@Shieldyourbody Жыл бұрын
Yes, I believe many of the biometric features are functional even in airplane mode.

Interesting video, would you say that the Heart Rate monitor has negative effects too? I was thinking I could switch off the WiFi and Bluetooth on my Garmin watch when it doesn't need updates etc (I bought this to help track my fitness as training for a triathlon) Thanks Aaron
@Shieldyourbody Жыл бұрын
Disabling all wireless communication (aka airplane mode) addresses this, and your heart rate monitor will still work.

@@Shieldyourbody I've done so on my Garmin watch as I have no interest in smart notifications going to my watch, however is the heart rate monitor itself harmful to us? Thanks

Yeah, I bought 3 smart watches to test them out and I immediately got rid of the cheap ones that don't allow bluetooth to be disabled.

Interesting talk thank you. Extending the conversation to Bluetooth headphones (airpods, etc) do the same suggestions apply there as well? They don't emit cellular EMF but they are using Bluetooth and sit right in your ear.
@Shieldyourbody2 жыл бұрын
Correct! Bluetooth radiation is very similar to WiFi. It is lower powered, but it's positioned in a very vulnerable location (proximal to your brain, eyes and several important nerves) and generally for extended periods of time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaqcg6uolrSHncU

Thanks for the video sir. What if we don t have the smartwatch connected with the phone?(No bluetooth). DO we still get EMF from the sensors only? Thanks

Yes, you can use airplane mode on your watches, to virtually eliminate the EMF emissions: support.apple.com/en-us/HT204234#:~:text=5%20Quick%20Links-,Use%20Airplane%20Mode%20on%20your%20iPhone%2C%20iPad%2C%20iPod%20touch%2C,re%20flying%20in%20an%20airplane.

Can wearing a Fitbit during an echocardiogram effect the results? My sleeping pattern was horrible when I wore it. I wore it about one year. I’ve since stopped.
@Shieldyourbody2 жыл бұрын
It quite possibly could. Many FitBits have the option of enabling airplane mode- and can still track your biometrics when you do. If your model has that option, I recommend testing it out to see if you notice a change in how your body feels.

About with a pasmaker
@Shieldyourbody9 ай бұрын
Pacemakers can be a significant source of EMF, since many new ones include wireless functionality. Of course, pacemakers are a life saving technology, and our recommendation is to focus on minimizing your exposure to discretionary -- not live saving -- sources of EMF exposure.
