It's what they do - they've done it for as long as I can remember. Some 20yrs ago I spoke to my MP about this behaviour because I found it so off-putting. I would listen to an MP pose a question that was affecting his/her constituents or constituency, and then often hear the Opposition respond with derision - mockery, jeering and generally treating the question as if the human factor was irrelevant - all that mattered was trashing the MP asking it. My MP - actually a decent man - responded that it was 'passion'. I told him that to most adults observers it looked more like a Punch & Judy show.

When my family lived in your Constituency it always had a Tory MP. I was a young lad and I kept getting his name wrong. I called him Tom Ironmonger but it was really Tom Iremonger😂. The MP for a nearby Constituency, Tom Driberg, was passing information to the Soviet Union. Ilford in those days was mainly light industry and white collar workers, but changes were beginning to be seen.

I unfortunately live in this area. I voted for Reform. Streeting nearly lost to a muslim independent. That's how far gone my area has become since I've lived here for 32 years. We have illegal immigrants in a hotel about a 5 minute walk from my house. It is extremely sad to see what it once was, to what it is now.
