How does a patient know the stage of myeloma?

Staging MM has always been so confusing. My husband was dx in 2009 as Stage III due to his chromosomal abnormalities. He was given 2-3 years. (I’m guessing that’s without tx). He fought long and hard and went through it all. I lost my love last year. I have to keep telling myself I got 14 years. 11-12 more than they first told us.

Actually my father is also a myeloma patient. So I want to know whether he(your husband) died of myeloma relapse or something else ? Did he go through a transplant ?

@@suchitraidsingh…….he relapsed many times. He had an auto SCT right after he was dx. It reared its ugly head completely after 9 years. He was put on many different combo drugs until they did CAR T Cell Therapy. His numbers looked OK for a while. But six months later, his multiple myeloma had progressed to plasma cell leukemia. They tried many more drugs after that plus another stem cell transplant from his sister. None of it worked. Jeff became transfusion dependent. Both blood and plasma. He was sent home on hospice and passed 2 weeks later.

every day i take two cup of green tea & turmeric & lemon & two pieces of garlic and i made salad with lemon juice or vinegar. 3 or 4 times a week salmon fish

I was diagnosed w MM in May 2021 and it’s December 2021 and I’m stable and considered “high functioning.” That “could” change overnight though.

Yes. 2020 for me. Am going to try radiation therapy and hope for the best.

hi how are you . 3 month ago i gave blood test doctor said is more protein in the my blood test . i have biopsy from my spine and another blood test and again one time more blood test and full sonography. doctor said this is ( mgus ) and my next appointment is after 4 month . i am on the diet food . i eat 3 times a week fish and more salad & chicken . i am not smoker and no alcohol . please tell me about diet food . i am 61 years old . and doctor didnt gave me any medication. i changed my food . no more headache no shoulder pain .no gas in the my nose . only a bit sometimes pain in the my toes . thank you . please answer
