New subscriber here and 4 months into my new Whole Foods Plant-based diet. When I first discovered your channel my thoughts were... a KZbin channel produced by a very fit vegan guy, probably wont have much usueful content for a 50-something year old woman, searching for the best way to deal with Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism. But, I was wrong! I really enjoy watching your videos. Seeing a happy couple that enjoys living a vegan lifestyle together gives me hope that there's a special man out there for me, who also enjoys eating plant-based whole foods as much as I do. Thank you, to you and Crystal, for sharing your time and making fun and useful videos for us to watch! Keep doing what you do!

Oh oh - Nasturtium flowers are edible, but the Nasturtium is also an excellent "companion plant" for herb gardens - they attract slugs and insects to feast on them instead of your herbs, AND they repel a whole bunch of beasties from your garden in general! Companion planting is a great concept to look into - like planting Hyssop and oregano next to tomato plants, or echinacea and lavender next to cucumber! Really enjoyed this video, as always. Appreciate the "day in the life"!
@fairwearth6907 ай бұрын
I agree! I found the same last year with nasturtiums in my permaculture gardens. Companion planting is so effective, I'm doing the same not only in my raised garden, but in my container garden as well on my balcony.

heyy, so my mom is rlly good at keeping herbs and she gave me a great tip: split the herbs that u get from the store into 2 or even 4 parts and wash the dirt off the roots before you plant them into new soil. and if it gets windy where u live, make sure to give them some sort of wind shield so they don’t get damaged.

Thanks for sharing what each of you tends to eat. We have a smoothie every single morning. We make ours with lots of leafy greens (usually kale but also spinach, chard, or carrot tops), often a whole orange (or apple), plus we change up the other frozen fruit so the other frozen fruit we rotate is: frozen mango, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, mixed berries, or sometimes raspberries. Our smoothies go in a bowl and my husband loves topping his with my homemade granola. We don't eat any processed food so we never add powders and such. I love that you grow a garden.

Thanks for a great video! I don't know if I needed validation or what, but it's nice to see a couple that has separate meals to their own preferences and kinda does their own thing most of the time. My husband and I each cook different meals and eat at different times for the last couple years and I still see so many traditional setups where one person (usually the woman) does the shopping, then cooks a lot, and everyone eats at the same time at a sit down breakfast/dinner that I feel like I've been transported back to the 50s and begin to feel a bit weird about my life...
