Alec, don't get discouraged. A couple of things I had to remember: this is not a diet I'm on, it's a lifestyle change. During Thanksgiving I chose the healthiest food possible (lots if meat, veggies, one dessert.) Do NOT take home leftovers. It only prolongs the holiday drift. Make good choices when you go out (broiled rather than fried seafood and lots of veggies). Increase fiber, which will fill you up. Your eating is 80% of your weight loss journey and exercising is 20%. Keep that in mind. Exercise, for me, is a mood lifter and helps keep a positive attitude. In total, I lost 3/4 of a pound after the holiday. You can do this! Keep it going!😊😊

The friend I mentioned previously started experiencing gout in his late 30's, so it definitely isn't just for "old" folks.
