I've somewhat given up the ghost. During my pregnancy back in 2017-18, my hair grew the best until late November I stupidly relaxed it. Since then, it's been stagnant with barely new growth. But the edges are even worst, it's almost as if I have alopecia, lol. For over 1 year I've been wearing wigs and no great improvement so really don't know what else to go. Except I will mix the peppermint and coconut oils, use on edges then see what will happen. Thanks always for your tips.

Nads FranksV Ahh...you’re welcome! We all go through problems with our hair at some point. But yes, try that combination and just make sure your consistent. It really does take time to see results, but the more you do it, the likely you are to notice improvements.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 “For God so loved the World that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 That’s how much he loves us that he sacrificed his own Son so that we wouldn’t have to be in Jesus spot so that we wouldn’t have to suffer.💕💕❤️

1. Tight hairstyles 2.certain hair tools 3.Moisturize and seal 4.Check hair deficiencies 5.hair growth oils Other ways except 1. Leave your hair edges out when braiding.. so tell whoever braiding is braiding to leave those frontline,back or side edges hair out u can actually go to the salon having lined those hair out 2. Make the braids lose where the edges are. And also all the other once 3. U hair should not be tight that your forehead and eyes are also pulled back. 4.dont manipulate your hair after coming from salon or from whoever did u braids, do not touch or style it,leave it for 2 days to watever days until it feels loose and not painful. 5. Avoid doing hair too tight (e.g.tying a bun) 6. When undoing you hair (removing braids) doing it carefully especially around the hairline/edges-dont pull it out do it gently

Julie, I’m rewatching the videos that changed my hair journey and yes, this one has opened my eyes again. I’m prone to iron deficiency anemia and because of my skin’s very high melanin content, I struggle with vitD levels in this British weather. Perhaps that is the reason for my struggles with thinning hair around the edges and crown section🤷‍♀️ I’ll get on a good supplement and see how it goes after 100 days x

My hairline is thin possibly due to wearing long braids for many years, but I’ve big chopped twice and my hair is growing, but the split ends won’t stop, no matter how often I cut them. So when I wash or comb my hair the ends shed like crazy. So I wear wigs as my protective style, and that’s it for me, but my hair is growing.

THIS IS SO HELPFUL😀😀I'm genuinely so happy to have come across this video because I've been so confused and worried as to why my edges are thinning. Since we're still under lockdown in South Africa. I've just always have had my hair in twists and I've always made sure that they weren't tight. It has crossed my mind that my bonnet could be the reason but since it's made from saturn, I really didn't think it would inflict damage to my edges. But now that someone has confirmed it... I'm definately getting myself a silk scaf...... And I'm definately trying out the rest of your suggestions.... THANK YOU SO MUCH😁😁😁😁 liked, shared and subscribed😊

Do you know if it’s a form of alopecia? Have you damaged your scalp in anyway? I’d definitely recommend seeing a trichologist to get some professional advice. They may be able to provide you with something that could help.

@HealthyAfroHair
@HealthyAfroHair 4 жыл бұрын
Some areas naturally grow slower than others, but just make sure you’re washing, deep conditioning and moisturising your hair regularly. Scalp massages are good too. Also, your diet plays a big role, so eat well and drink lots of water.

When using those rubber bands as accessories for your hair, can it also lead to thinning edges?

If it’s constantly rubbing in any way or tight then yes it can.

My hair has no problem growing,so I went natural and wanted to grow first 3 years,so I do the LOC method.i wore bonnets and wig caps and a protective style but now all the my edges,are suffering,thinning and getting worse.i kept trying to figure out what was causing this,and the only thing I could think of was the hair bonnet.now I'm more convinced.now my question is,are my edges damaged for good,or is there still hope?

Sorry, I’m late with my reply! It depends on how it looks? Can you still see some hairs in those areas or is it looking bald? How’s it looking now?

Hi, so I used to be on natural hair and I steady put my hair in tight high puffs a lot! That was the only style I did. With time I noticed my edges began to recede and I relaxed my hair, but it got only worse. I’m considering doing the big chop to start all over, or what do you advice? Would it improve if I do a big chop?

As long as there’s no constant pressure on your edges, you should be fine. But if you notice any damage, then maybe it’s best to avoid it.
