Mr. Javant, you need to quit 😮. My husband was looking for what he thought was a healthy snack to take on a plane ride and came across granola bars. He said that he was going to get those because they were healthy because that's what the package said🤦🏾♀️. I told him no matter what the package said the only way to make sure what you are eating is healthy is to "make your own ". So these are right on time and the various variety guarantee that he would like at least one of them. Me, myself, and I love them all. Yummy 😋 another home run, right over the fence ⚾️

Where can one find glyphosate free Oats. I'm in the uk
@terredee3 ай бұрын
@@shamsaaraf5190 The UK certifies organic foods, and has a trade agreement with the US for foods that have been certified organic. In the US the organic symbol is a half white / half green circle with the words USDA / ORGANIC. In the UK, the certified organic logo is a box with the words “OK ORGANIC” arranged to form a tick mark. There are organic certifiers in the UK that have their own logos, including the Organic Trust, the Soil Association, BDA Certification, and the Welsh Organic Scheme. It’s a little confusing not to have one instantly recognizable ORGANIC logo, but just remember that they all have the word ORGANIC in the logo.

You are literally the only cooking channel I'm subscribed to. I'm a vegetarian currently, but am almost completely switched over to a vegan diet barring cheese. Your channel has inspired me so much in the kitchen lately that I've actually been cooking again, and they're all vegan recipes! Anyway, not to get too rambly, but I'm really looking forward to making your Lentil Flatbread this weekend. I'm going to be making some traditional aioli as well for some killer vegetable wraps (though maybe I'll get really ambitious and make your baked falafel as well)

Love how I can tweak them a bit and literally make them my own using your baseline recipe. The date paste is an absolute game changer and as with the other comments, it's getting my husband off those grab-a-snack 'healthy' bars, yak....these are SO much better and don't compromise on taste. I am baking a batch of these right now with dried zante black currants, hemp seed hearts, wild blueberries and some other add-ins. My understanding is that the smaller, wild blueberries contain at least 33% more anthocyanins, than the big cultivated blueberries. I like the smaller blueberries. They taste better for some reason. And...I'm going to try your other combos, as well!.Thanks, Mr. Javant!
@healthyveganeating9 ай бұрын
Yes and yes! I love that you are adapting the ingredients to your personal preferences 👌🏾 I also love that you are considering how to practically increase your micronutrient intake 👌🏾 I love, and prefer wild blueberries, however, I typically make my recipes that I share with fresh organic so that people don't feel that they have to specifically get the wild ones. Great message! 🙂
@sebrinadickerson33419 ай бұрын
@@healthyveganeating Ah...okay. Getting that message out to the masses that this lifestyle is attainable! What's your stance on frozen vs fresh? My understanding is that the nutrient content and actual 'freshness' may be superior with frozen, since the produce is frozen right after harvest, while the same produce may sit for days before bought and used in the produce section. I sometimes can't or don't get to the fresh stuff before it goes bad, so get frustrated with the waste. It looks like you probably don't have that issue, though, and eat all of your stuff before it gets to that point. I'm going to share your channel with my vegetarian kid. I know he'll eat this up. Thanks, Mr. Javant!
@healthyveganeating9 ай бұрын
Yes, flash freezing locks in the nutrients and prevents antioxidant deterioration form air and heat exposure. Still, since I am able to get fresh blueberries locally for a good part of the year, I typically use them in recipes. Wild, organic, and local is the best option, but all organic blueberries are super healthful!! 👌🏾

Javant, have you tried using a chef's knife? Makes cutting so much easier. Love all your recipes. Thanks a million.

You know, I have actually been gifted a couple of really nice chef's knives from two high end companies. It's been months since I received them, but I haven't ever thought to try them out. If something is working for me, I often won't change it until it doesn't. So, I am sure you are right, and I'm sure I will eventually start using a nice chef's knife in my videos. Thank you for appreciating my recipes, and for the suggestion. Please stay tuned 🙂

@ I make so many of your recipes. Can't wait for your cookbook. I'm buying it no matter what. I'm just afraid you will cut yourself with those little knives. It's like using the wrong tool for a task. When you use the right one your life is a 1000x's better. Give them a try and you'll never go back to paring knives ☺️

Well now, at one time I managed a Meat & Seafood department in a health food co-op, so I have plenty of experience cutting with dozens of knifes. I also managed a Produce department, so I also have plenty of experience cutting fruits and veggies with all types of knives. I honestly haven't cut myself in over 25 years, so I don't feel at all reluctant to continue cutting with the "little knives" I am using. Preciate the thought, though 🙂
