@George L I'm pretty sure she knows they weren't burglarers. Educated looking people coming out of a home with their luggage only doesn't look like a burglary. It looks like people traveling. I have lived in plenty of areas where burglaries take place. In the 80s when I was a kid, it happened to our home a few times and we always came back home to see the damages then we called the police. To this day, I wouldn't assume those 4 individuals were burglarizing the home. I would look out the window and say oh, maybe they're new to the area. Maybe they're visiting or something of that nature. If the lady wanted a wave, she should have waved first and asked them politely what they were doing or where the home owner was. The lady was racist just like the cops. In the video, they clearly stated even after they showed the cops the Airbnb email. They still refused to believe the group in an attempt to escalate the situation. Luckily no one was hurt and I'm sure that was the old lady's goal as well as those so called officers who showed up. Too bad you're too blind and naive to see that. I'm sure if being singled out, harassed, or stared at became an almost every day occurrence to you (white boy) you would be able to tell when someone is behaving in a racist manner. You don't experience that nonsense though, but guess what? Black People do, especially in this country so people already feel the racism when it shows it's ugly face. Black people don't complain about racism if it didn't feel that way. You can blame your kind for that.

A Virgo seeing your post reminds me of the episode of Fresh Prince where Will and Carlton get arrested because the white cops assumed they stole the car. Arrest an old lady for not knowing her neighbor rented the house out for a week while hey were on vacation? This kind of mindset is going to cause people to NOT call the police with the fear of being called a racist, and people are going to get robbed and murdered because of it. Now couple that with the appalling and scary incidents of black people being mistreated by cops and it becomes even more disturbing. And, honestly, do you REALLY think this lady would have called if the young people coming out of the home with luggage were all white?? As a side note: if you feel the need to call people derogatory and disgusting names when trying to make a point, it only serves to make your argument look weak. When someone is staring at you looking all crazy at you, you usually try to ignore it and pay them no mind. And her acting like "they didn't act like neighbors they didn't wave". SHE should've acted like a "friendly neighbor". You know, if she couldn't get ahold of the owners of the house that she apparently knew so well, she could've just walked over with some drinks or something, and been like "Oh hi I'm OldLady Crustydraws, I'm a friend of Lisa and Jimbob McMayonnaise, nice to meet you." Then they would've just said, "Nice to meet you, we're renting the house for a couple days. blah blah friendly banter etc etc." Then the lady would've just said "Cool well I'm right across the street if you guys need anything, have a good day!" But instead she chose to escalate it by making it suspicious and about race. She clearly just had an issue with seeing black people there because the couple rented their house out multiple times before so she couldn't have not been used to seeing people in and out. Don't tell me she was afraid and fearing for her life or some bullshit because if she's out there standing at the mailbox with her phone staring she ain't that damn afraid.

sugarface06 dude, if your neighbor sees someone in and out your crib And they know it ain’t u, u want them to ignore that. U gotta keep in mind this lady doesn’t know anything about them booking on Airbnb. We gotta stop wanting logic bent in our favor every situation. I read up on this and the police didn’t arrest them or get the handcuffs or anything, they investigated real quick and moved on. Y’all clogging up airtime with this baby bs.
@kpcurt6 жыл бұрын
That's your opinion. If it's my crib... I'm black... Call the police. It'll get sorted out. If someone in and out your crib... let them mind there own business, if you got robbed then you just got robbed.

Say what you want bruh. I don't see anything escalated here. From what I read shit was done in under an hour. Separate and go where? If we gonna create a Wakanda... we need to do it already. Or we need to call shit how it is... I'm just calling this how it is. This was an inconvenience, but my neighbor got robbed by people just walking in and out the house all casual just like this. If someone would have called the cops it would of got sorted. New technology like AirBnB is going to cause mix ups like this until it gets ironed out... Oh, we black so... we ain't trynna hear all that.

This video is over two years old. Was the recording of the 911 call ever released? If the neighbor called 911 stating that there are people who she does not recognize going in and out of her neighbor's home, then that is not a false police report. However, if she said that the renters were vandalizing the property, becoming violent, etc. when they were not, then that would be a false statement. By itself, informing the authorities that there are people who you do not recognize on your neighbor's property is not a crime.

She has probably done this many times to many different people but the cops just laugh it off and say, "oh she's old." Maybe it was a race thing but I have seen this happen with white people and usually the victim ends up being the one who got the cop called on them. It's seriously out of control and a shame that adults can't be adults and doing a little neighborhood investigating to find out the truth before cops get involved.
