I usually double up with foam ear plugs and my electronic ear pro turned all the way up - especially at the undesirable indoor range. It's pretty close to your normal hearing, and you have a backup if you are shooting in weird positions/funky cheek welds and break the seal on your outer ear pro. I just run the Howard Leights but I keep multiple pairs of them around for myself and range friends in case they break - they're cheap enough to stash a pair or three in the closet. I am rambling - I'll shut up now. 🙂
