Ann is a great singer. She is also a back up singer on Supertramp's album "Famous Last Words." I feel Ann can sing, "What About Love?" and "These Dreams" the best. Heart's album, "Bad Animals" is great but I feel the best album is "Brigade." Ann and Nancy perform wonderfully together. I will check out Ann's solo albums.

I think he said that because Ann was sometimes mistaken for Nancy from those who didn't know thought Nancy was the lead singer. I think it had to with publicity. Back when I was 8 or 9 I didn't know right off who was who. Heart with a female rock lead singer was unusual at the time. Luckily I had older siblings who liked rock and roll. I had a head start to listening to the Who, Led Zep and all the bands that were popular and not so popular.

There is a radio interview of Ann and Nancy Wilson during the first 6 months of 1987 talking about the upcoming bad aminals album and how they were enthusiastic about the songs and the music and the upcoming tour ..by December 1987 Howard Leese stated in a Miami newspaper that Ann was already thinking about retiring and she was depressed ....it was the 1987 tour when the media critics completely ignored how stupendous heart was while they were endlessly promoting and glorifying Whitney Houston and Madonna and Cindy Lauper and all these fourth rate people who couldn't hold a candle to Ann Wilson's ability in singing and Stage performance ....so during a 6 months in period in 1987 to 1988 everything changed the way Ann felt about heart and her career

Besides you reading directly from Wikipedia and thinking Ann is Nancy, this was good. Anns voice should be stored in a vault for ll time! She's that damn good! Her sister Nancy, also sings, plays guitar and turned into one of the best guitarists ever! She too, should have her guitar playing stored in a vault. Lol. They worked their asses off and got what they deserved in the Hall of fame induction. They struggled through men thinking it was a mans game, getting hit on and sexual indecency, the record execs wanting them to be all dolled up in the 80s, Ann with everybody hounding her about her weight, and the fans at first thinking what are they doing their women. They overcame all that and more to produce honest, powerful, and incredible music. They did it in the 60s and 70s which back then was hard because their was way more people trying to become stars and easier to get a deal although if you sucked that deal would be canceled quick. Then the 80s, where they thought for a minute they were all done until pumping out a few smash hits!! They made the comeback in the 80s and it survived into the 90s. Then it was retirement/Do whatever you want time. They did shows when they wanted and interviews and award shows. Their induction to the Hall means they werent only great but as women getting inducted, its showing the little females out there that you can do this, put your mind to it, work hard and you too can become the best female rock band on earth!
