Love this song. I am always impressed by how good and tight they sounded live. Heart produced so many iconic guitar riffs from 1976-1980...and boy could Ann sing!

My fav Heart song, along with "Crazy On You", I wasn't a huge Heart fan as I was a lot harder, but 1 of my best friends in HS was & we had this song on cassette in her '72 Fastback Mustang w/Mickey Thompson mags. We thought we were the shit racing against the boys with Heart (or in my case Priest, Sabbath or Bolin) blasting out of the speakers. Totally brings back great memories. The 70's & 80's were the best decades to be in your teens/20's. I hate being my age now, but I wouldn't trade those decades for anything (well, almost...depends on what I was getting LOL).

Hell yeah! What’s odd is that Ann related about being shunned by a man when she was younger - well - I’m sorry but Good Gawd in 1975-77 she’s Absolute feminine strength and sexy as hell. Every octave and every move is just crazy good art. Regardless, a Rock Legend and worthy of all respect .

Kick It Out is one of those songs you might suddenly find yourself traveling 90 miles an hour to, and when you look behind you see flashing blue lights in your rear view mirror. With any luck it'll be Sheriff Buford T. Justice. That sombitch can't catch nobody. This song belongs in a remake of Smokey and The Bandit. This time the Bandit needs to be a Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress! 1977 was an awesome good year. Cheers everybody - kimie

Most people who know diddly about music and what it takes to be one of the great bands don't know is that The original Heart was not a success only because of Ann's phenomenal vocal talent. their success was also because of Roger Fishers fantastic guitar playing and his songwriting ability. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the very moment that Ann and Nancy got it into their heads that they didn't need Roger and Mike and Howard and the rest of the band is the moment that they fell down from the mountaintop. Roger was the first to leave and THAT was the moment that they started their tumble down the mountain. They were never again to achieve the stunning success and musical accolades that they enjoyed when the original band was together. NEVER AGAIN! Roger and the band were the bedrock of that band and Anns voice put them over the top. Ann and Nancy never had enough to do it all themselves. I saw them live back then and they were, hands down, the very best band I have ever seen live and I saw most of the greats from the very late 60s to the early 80s.

That verse melody is about as good as it gets. I hear/feel a little Zepplin in it but of course uniquely Ann's. It has a great 70's vibe and yet is timeless. The chorus is a completely different animal... What great songwriting.

Finally! The mystery of the white cabinets is revealed! I always thought they were for the Moog, but a custom monitor system? Awesome! Are they still in existence? Your shred on these early Heart records made them the soundtrack of my life. NO ONE recreates them better, as evidenced by your Mistral Wind performance with Ann last fall.

Check out the Rock and Roll video Roger uploaded last week, she's banging away on that one too! She plays piano quite well. She wrote and played piano on Raised On You and One Word. In the video for Alone she is seen playing piano, and also played it on Allies live. It may have been Jonathan Cain on the recorded version of that, but there is video of her performing it live on piano. That's a tricky one too!

Clearly you're projecting and oversharing online because I'm not taking anything personally - just happen to be a sensing and intelligent human that doesn't resort to bullying folks that will never even think about them. Hope you find some peace and harmony - stop living in the past. If you're not happy with the people in your life - maybe it's you who's making everyone miserable but either way - it's up to you to do the work. Not vent about your unresolved mania with physical bodies versus human's brains and souls. Body is just a vessel in the end & at least Ann has brought out more genuine inspiration & joy in others amidst her weight gain. You on the other hand- God bless your wife. @@Shadowwolf7774
