My teenage years 😢....miss them so much. Boy do I miss the days when they used to make real music.

Absolute banger in 2023. I was 7 when this came out in 1990. Very underrated track from a great band.

Hey kid-- go MAKE some great music. YOU CAN DO IT! Also if you like this, you'll like the band Most Modern and some of the other retro synthwave stuff. Check out Le Cassette, too. If any others come to mind I'll come back and add them.

I can't believe this song is over 30 years old. It sounds like it could've come out last week!

I loved this song from the moment it came out in 1990. I thought it would be another big hit for them but surprisingly it wasnt. At least not in America.

I remember it was a moderate hit on the radio in Miami when it was released in 1990.

Very ahead of its time, the sound, the voices, the chorus the lyrics, the rhythm sound better than any of this decade. I they renamed so algorithm thinks is new I bet went straight to number 1 today. / I'll hear all the album I think can have a bonus side B song ; )

I barely remember this song. It's great though! The industry is cruel. Once they've figured you're not as popular anymore, they move on. This didn't get the attention it deserved.

The single edit of this track did not do justice to the essence of this track. The Orbit mix is horrible. The 12-inch extended mix is where it's at and always filled a dance floor for me. Black out the dance floor, turn on the strobe, and the people are dancing. The 12 inch mix is where it's at. Phil is much more present in the vocals and there isn't the flip between Phil and the girls. Spin the 12 inch single.

Always liked this song. It was a top 40 hit! I just noticed the lyrics are a tad heavy handed though. Come on, it's a song not a political rally. How about some poetic metaphors to make it go down smoother?
@victoria7t4 жыл бұрын
Actually the human league were very political and this is a very political song. They are not singing about love or any kind of fluff here. The song is totally political. Look up the meaning.

Hi. I love this song. The audio of it. The video is a mess compared to much earlier times in the band’s long history. The girls attempts at sultry eye contact throughout is annoying. The come hither look over a shoulder is .... just laughable. These are beautiful women. They don’t need to act as such. Who directed this video and why didn’t the band resist or object to any of it? At least they didn’t dance. That I’ll hate forever.
@victoria7t4 жыл бұрын
They were hoping people would focus more on the song in the meaning of the song with a video like this apparently I didn't work on you.
