The PIT at around 12:00 is understandable because that person was on the wrong way and heading for an interstate. You can even hear someone on the radio specifically say "don't let them get on the interstate going the wrong way" so I can understand that one. But ffs, the PIT at around 5:00 was insane. It was clear as day doing that PIT would send that truck right into that other passenger vehicle.
@infiniteaj8688Күн бұрын
The officer literally already stated that they were ALREADY on the interstate. Why in the ever-loving hell would you PIT directly into oncoming traffic. Anyone with a working brain would know that's extremely stupid and dangerous, there is only ONE WAY that can go. It is not at all understandable. In that scenario, you simply have to follow and wait for a better moment when traffic potentially clears up. You don't PIT when you can literally see cars coming towards you in every lane. Complete nonsense.
@drdlf.22 сағат бұрын
This reasoning is almost as dumb as that pit, how on earth do you see oncoming traffic and decide it’s a good idea to send the car directly into it, she should not be allowed to participate in chases at all 😂

I watched videos about the grappler and it's pretty good. Sure for big cars like a pickups it wouldn't stop them but at least make them slower and buy some time for the police to get the suspect in cuffs.

21:25-28:46: Having a high-speed chase in the UK doesn't happen very often, but...when it does, it's a bit of an adrenaline rush for police officers there. It's also a learning curve...in how to exercise patience in getting the felon into custody...preferably alive & unhurt. Quite unlike the craziness seen everyday on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. Makes one viewer wonder...how would these British police officers, like the ones here in Manchester, UK, fare in a dramatic high-speed pursuit on any open highway of North America? And better yet...how would they do, using the P.I.T. Maneuver...something that is forbidden to them? Or even using 'stop sticks'? If the minds of the UK police officers could be read, they'd surely have one word to describe those methods: BARBARIC!!!

Soon, there will be more speedsters behind bars than drug smugglers, killers, etc. It is easier for a fleet of sheriff cruisers to chase one vehicle. And then the innocent people end up in accidents, and sometimes hospitals. I'm not sure about all the state laws, but any damage caused by these accidents has to go through the innocent people's insurance, and we all know that it is a process, and one is never fully compensated.

A-Police chase is very dangerous for the public, for the suspect, and even for the police itself. B-The suspect is moving slightly at a higher speed before being chased, but when police starts chasing the suspect, the suspect increases its speed to its maximum capacity, so it becomes more dangerous when under pursuit than none at all. C-The suspect, when persuaded, violates traffic rules endangering the life of the public. The same violation of traffic rules is committed by the police when they follow the suspect with the same extreme speed and the same route. During persuit, there is no difference between suspect and police as long as police are following the suspect, I hope you understand my point of view. D-Sometimes, the suspect is injured or killed by accident or by police. Even police officers are injured or killed in accidents or by suspect in this operation. E- PIT manoeuvre or Precision Immobilization Technique is very dangerous, for it is equal to killing the suspect by deliberately causing an accident. How police can endanger the life of a person who is not yet proved guilty. It is a matter of serious illegality in the eyes of human rights. F-I think PIT manoeuvre is dangerous. Instead of chasing for tens of kilometres, it is better to puncture the tire by a bullet at the very beginning of chase when the speed is very slow. G-It becomes a more dangerous operation when multiple police cars start violating traffic rules. H-Police persuit is not justified if we analyze the outcome of such dangerous operations and the risk involved. J- Lastly, I would suggest Grab the culprit without chasing. Do not run after the culprit. Try to arrest in a stationary position. If driving with high speed, let him go. Just note his car number.
@philosopher-2007Күн бұрын
this isn't possible or plausible. People who run from the police often have license plates that they can use to replace the one on their car, making that technique of "noting his car number" useless. Also, not everything can be solved by simply "shooting at it," so "puncturing the tire with a bullet" is stupid. Not to mention that when a suspect with a gun hears officers firing at his car, he's going to assume they are shooting at him and he is going to shoot at them. this quote: "Grab the culprit without chasing. Do not run after the culprit. Try to arrest in a stationary position." doesn't make sense since the entire purpose of chasing after someone is because you *can't* arrest them in a stationary position.
