Similar to previous bed build, but focusing on how I made the head shaped head board. Last bed build similar to this one: woodgears.ca/bed/single.html

I’ve been using your tip of keeping the ply continuous for a while now, really cuts down on waste, and i now have so little spare plywood around.

Loved this one. The only thing better than Matthias building something cool for us to see is for him to build practical things that his wife and kids will use on a daily basis. A real family man right there.

There's something extremely satisfying about building a bed yourself, even more so when it's for your own child.

It’s interesting to think that we are now creating the same types of memories we had of our fathers for our own children. Having watched your channel since before your father and my own passed and admiring their own work; now having children that we are creating memories for.

Wonderful bed for a sweet little girl. When my brothers and I were young, my dad built beds for us. One of the beds was dubbed "the boat bed" as it resembled, well, a boat. I hope all is well for you and your family.

My apologies, I thought, “making a bed - do I want to watch that?” I thoroughly enjoyed it all the way through. I should have known better. Thank you for my favourite KZbin channel.

Making your own furniture is a great way to save money and get quality furniture. My dad made a lot of furniture and I think he did a great job, but damn it was the heaviest furniture we owned. 30 some odd years later and our computer desks he made still look like new, though they are very smooth were are arms lived. I hope your kids will appreciate it all that work you put in when you could have simply bought something cheap and easy

Looks great! I think the wood grain looks quite nice as well. I had a headboard with great looking wood but it was painted blue. Years later we stripped off the paint and realized how much nicer it was underneath.

Excellent video. I appreciate the process that you use to build things. I noted how you did the dry fit before the round overs so that you could mark where to and not to round over. That is a step I have missed many times. As usual the finished project looks great. Nice job and thank you for posting.
