Thanks very much for your videos. I'm having an ECG and nuclear stress test done at the end of May due to a very high CAC (coronary artery calcium) score of 2534. My cardiologist wants to see if there's any serious blockage in my coronary arteries. Knowing about what's involved with stenting (from watching your videos) is helping to prepare me if I have to go down that path. Thankfully I don't have any angina, so I'm hopeul I won't need anything besides the statin (Crestor) my cardiologist put me on (along with a daily baby aspirin).

Unobstructive Diagnosis: minor CAD My question is that my mom is facing pain in chest and breathless during walk . Is that serious and shoud she need repeated angiography

Generally this report is good. Some people get chest pain similar to angina, while their large arteries are fine. This is due to microvascular disease. Your doctor will be able to help you know whether this is the case in your mother.

My partner has today has two stents put in. He is British but his parents are from Hong Kong and China. He has sleep apnea. Is this this something that can be removed by a stent? He’s 52

Although obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)can lead to coronary artery disease, treatment of OSA is by using positive airway machine at night, CPAP machine, in addition to modifying the risks that led to its development. Stents have little effects on it.

Is stent removed from the artery after the surgery? Or it will remain inside for life?? Please I'm waiting for your answer
@DoctorBoladCardiology11 ай бұрын
Once the stent is placed in the coronary artery, it can not be removed.

What's the point then if it doesn't reduce chances of heart attack or death?

@@DoctorBoladCardiology Okay, good to know. My father had a 99% blockage and had a stent last week.
@DoctorBoladCardiology Жыл бұрын
That will very likely help the cardiac symptoms he had and possibly improve heart function.
