Thanks,PizzaFlix4 this romantic comedy w such an illustrious cast! Ms.Rogers is quite good in her role! It reminded me of an earlier version of"It Takes a Thief" w Grace Kelly& Cary Grant!

This film may not be considered a classic, but it exudes charm and has an all-star cast. In addition to Ginger Rogers and Jean-Pierre Aumont, Melville Cooper, Basil Rathbone, Henry Stephenson, Eduoardo Ciannelli, etc.

Ginger Rogers may not have been 18 years old when she appears in a film portraying an 18 year old, but if one suspends the reality and simply enjoys her wonderful performance, this is a perfectly delightful film. Well acted, directed and produced.

This was excellent schlock! Lol! How dare she look so young at 35. This means that she was 24-25 when she did all those dance movies. Jean-Paul Menjou was magnificent to watch. We were all robbed by this film. They all needed the money. Lol!

Good grief. Ginger was 35 when she made this, and she's playing an 18-year-old character? It exceeds the imagination.

Just like Olivia Newtown John & most of the cast from Grease being in their 30’s. Even the Ferris Beuler cast were in their early to late 20’s & playing 16 & 17 year olds. Doris Day often played women at least 10 years younger. It always happened.

Ouida Bergere was Basil's last wife. she had an extravagant appetite for throwing celebrity parties and spending money that they didn't have. Therefore Basil had to work right up to his his death and take roles beneath his dignity and skill. So sad, Basil deserved better. However, what you sow you reap.
@leishayoung41242 жыл бұрын
Let's face it. Rathbone got to the point where he just didn't care anymore. He was clearly tired of the system and just wanted to make money to keep his wife happy. Having said that, he always classed up whatever film he was in, no matter how bad, he would command every scene and wipe the floor with any other actor sharing it with him. He was a consummate professional who always put in a good performance as he realised that was what he was paid to do. He was always gracious with the other actors as well. No matter how talentless they were. He was a gentleman and a great actor. He had a level of class and sophistication that doesn't exist anymore. I often think if he were alive today, he would have had no shortage of high quality work.
