O yea Devon! That statement alone is class and thoughtfulness. I could fast fwd the interview from there and still take away something positive. My Q to both- Was there a moment when it was someone telling you in silent words, I cannot be the woman of your dreams because I am not willing to sacrifice my dreams just to have you?

Him looking away may not be him feeling unworthy, some people, when they're processing things and being vulnerable, they look away. This topic is him being vulnerable with a topic he's never really opened up about.

Dear Nick, God created the institution of marriage. God created the covenant for that. No one can undo that. Marriage can/is the same biblically as it has always been. Marriage is not just a contract/piece of paper. But I digress. You are still wounded and not healed from the 1st marriage and that’s ok; say that instead of beating around the bush. Praying for you.

Sometimes, maintaining eye contact while listening to another overtaxes the brain's capacity to cognitively process the information being received and then having to respond to it. This was an excellent interview! Enjoy watching it without judging body language.

It's incredibly brave of Nick to be this vulnerable, saying he was a complete train wreck after his divorce and living hard. He's really examined himself. Hopefully he can move forward into a fully reconciled place both mentally and emotionally. This is great for men to see how much work is needed post divorce to not hurt other ppl and just cause chaos

This is so good to see and hear black men openly discuss how they dealt with being hurt. I feel like this solidifies why Nick was having all those children. Now it seems like he is aware of the why, God is good. Happy that they are both on the path to doing better and healing. I wish more black men would speak on subjects such as vulnerability.

This was a great interview because these men were being vulnerable about their experience. I was not aware of how hurt Nick Cannon was from his failed marriage. It sounds like he is aware that his brokenness has impacted his behaviors with women. I wonder how the mothers of his children will react to this interview?

He should have been a better husband who was PRESENT in his marriage and who wasn't emotionally and mentally abusive/manipulative. He was too concerned with 100 jobs and proving outsiders wrong that he was bigger and better than his more famous and richer wife. He shouldn't have been caught flirting with women on-line on Twitter with messages he meant for DMs. He shouldn't have been DMing naked women period. He is the reason his marriage fell apart and why Mariah left him, and never regretted leaving.

This was an incredibly powerful interview on every level. I echo the sentiment that there's not enough space where men; particularly black men are allowed to be absolutely vulnerable about their emotions, heart break in marriage and ultimately healing. Just a very candid conversation, they're both highly intelligent and evolving emotionally and spiritually.

11:03 I don’t know if Nick fully realizes what he’s saying. He’s pointing out that having to do visitations with his first set of twins was painful yet he made several other children in broken homes that he would have to have visitation with. I don’t understand . Is it that he purposely created these children or is it that they filled a void? I think he’s yet to really answer that.

Actually for men, science says it’s most comfortable to sit side by side if you want a man to open up with anyone... your teen son, a full grown man, man to man, man to woman, cop to suspect.... Facing eye to eye for a man is seen as confrontational. The position with two people sitting in the front seats of a car etc works. It’s women who like to be looking into each other’s eyes for conversational “intimacy.” For men, facing the other person is typically an obstacle.

When Nick was trying to think of a word to describe himself in that moment following his divorce, I knew exactly what word he was going to land on. - villain. Society has assigned the role of villain to men. So for him to lean into it just felt natural. But the truth is, men are not villains. We are not the necessary evil so many women see us as being. Even all the women who have literally stood in line to have children w him so they can get that money, let's be real, he is still seen as the villian-the one w impute motives and faulty character. I've heard so much negativity about him, even in this series, but none about the women. We are not villians. We are real people w real feelings and good character. Nick is a good person.
