Very moving vlog. The love you both have for Grange Arts really shone through. So sad when a place that means so much is no more. We fear for the arts whilst the Tories remain in power...we fear for the North! What a wonderful building Higginshaw is by the way.❤

What a sweet and sad video this is. It is always very sad old buildings and important institutions close down because of lack of funding. My heart goes out to you, Paul and Jason and Stuart , thank you for sharing an important part of your collective histories. 😔🥰

Oh Paul, I was almost crying with you, but my pesky dogs intervened. It was a lovely tribute to the theatre. Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories. The theatre contributed to making you into the wonderful person that you are. If I could hug you I would. Mourning stinks, and I try to think that the person/entity would not like you to mourn for long but to celebrate, smile and laugh about the memories.

Paul , sweetheart my heart was breaking with yours , we have lost so much history over the years , I remember going to my local theater as a little kid and dancing on stage as a teenager and young woman. My mother and I had a very difficult relationship, but in dance we had a connection , she was almost proud of me when I was on stage , my little theater isn't there now , like so many others she's had her days and her nights, she's been filled with laughter and tears , she's been home and heart , a place for families and a places for lovers to meet and to part , she was my light in the dark . If you know, you know and I know that you and Jason , understand the meaning of a place to breathe

This has shocked me so much, first the coliseum, then the arts hub and now the grange. Lots of memories performing here. Only came across this as was looking up whether it had reopened yet and was thinking it would be an amazing performance space for our show 😢 will miss this place xx

Well done guys for summing up what the Grange means to all of us who went there and experienced all the joy, forged all the friendships, made all the memories and staged all the shows that will live in our hearts long after the bricks have turned to dust. It breaks my heart we wont be stepping back on that stage but what we have done will never leave us x

Hi Jason and Paul, I studied at Higgenshaw and we did all our shows at Grandgw Arts . Years 1989-1991, we're, as the song goes, the best years of my life. Paul, did you start in 1989 at all? There was a lovely gentleman called who started in 1989 but sadly left before the end of that year. I have often wondered how he is.

So difficult for you Paul & Jason, it must feel like an important part of your personal history is being excised. However, as long as you have the memories and the experiences that you can share with each other, (and of course the rest of us!) it won't be entirely gone. Adam is right! Think of all the magic that has been passed on in that wonderful place - that goes on through all those it touched. Much love and hugs to you all. xx

doing rent was one of the best experiences of my life and I fully don't understand why oldham college could not get the construction courses to work on it to save it, it would be an amazing opportunity for them and it will keep the best performing arts course going being able to use the space, I didn't know myself it was being demolished, so devastating xx

I'm so sorry. As a Detroiter, I am used to seeing storied buildings succumb to the wrecking ball without notice, or, what's worse, sitting and degrading until they can't be saved and there's an outcry demanding demolition for safety reasons. There is nothing sadder than when a lack of funding causes the degradation. Money has way too much importance in this world, and too little respect, at the same time, to change that relationship and things we _do_ respect fall victim to this perverse dynamic. Treasure your memories, guys; the theater will live on through the spirit of everyone who loved her.
