One finals series in 4 years adds up when you’re not winning. Penrith, storm all suffered from long term and significant injuries throughout the year, so that excuse only gets you so far. Can see he’d lost his dressing room by about mid season (and especially when the dogs flogged them)👍

Broncos need a coach who pulls Reece Walsh into line. So many whispers from Red Hill that he does what he wants like a rock star. This can't be tolerated moving forward. Carrigan is too close with Reece to pull him into line. A strong, seasoned coach must do this to establish immediate standards. Nobody is bigger than the team.

I think Kevie occasionally makes himself look foolish in pressers, but mate, he is not the problem, them sacking the coach is not the answer, Kevie got them to a GF, he hasn't all of a sudden lost that ability, it was an interrupted year with injuries and what not. What will likely happen is a new coach comes in, starts cleaning up the roster because they'll have a different game plan, it won't go smoothly next year, people will wonder why the Broncos still aren't improving and it will be a repeat of Kevie's tenure as coach. The problem is the players need to become disciplined, train hard and work for each other and the coach.

I hate the Broncos but I feel for Kevie here. I mean they made the GF last year ffsk and had the potential and still have the potential to be a powerhouse club. They had a sh*t year, that happens. Apart from the top couple of teams every club goes through that. Melbourne, Penrith, Roosters have all had long term stability within the coaching staff. Sacking the coach every five minutes really can't help anything.

I have absolutely no love for the Broncos. But to blame the coach for this season seems harsh. They came within a whisker of winning the chocolates in 2023. If that's the benchmark, then every coach is on notice. To front the media conference for your own sacking is unorthodox and suggests the "mutual agreement" comes with some benefits for Walters. I can't see why else he goes this happily.

Kev Walters getting sacked definitely wasn't on the bingo card for the year. Sad really, he's a passionate bloke who loves his club. Every club needs guys like Kevvie. Heartbreaking seeing him getting emotional, but he just loves the club that much he wouldn't put himself in tha way of club

Sacking Walter’s just because of one Rough year that is very disheartening, he did Outstanding moulding up the young broncos team. We are Looking at another few more rocking years for the broncos.
