Shane Jones is right - the Sovereignty of parliament is paramount. As such parliament has the right to make laws and govern the country. Chris Luxon's comments on what he didn't like about the Treaty Principles bill sends a chilling message to the electors of New Zealand who put him in his position in order to sort out the mess that we find ourselves in with the likes of Te Pati Maori demanding a separate maori parliament alongside the one we currently have and laws that give preferential treatment to specific groups of society based on their ancestry. Such a system has been tried many times in the past, the most recent being apartheid in South Africa, which is now no longer, and caused major protests here in New Zealand back in 1981 when the racially selected Springbok rugby team toured here. Most New Zealanders do not want this system in this country.

This is equal to any claim that Maori make regarding there ancestors that came from other Pacific islands, on a open ocean canoe. I now identify as a white Maori.

No one is denying your place here. But your comment is denying the, far longer, historical association of Polynesians to this part of the world. The natives are the ones that arrived first. How about we limit our arguments to those actually being made, rather than on our infallible judgements on the intentions of our opponents, our opinions, or reading on intent or what we imagine the consequences to be? How about we educate our children, which is what taxpayers and parents are paying for, rather than radicalising, activating our children, and using them as crowd stuffing?

I hope this bill goes through. The way I see it is that like David I believe that as nzers we should all have equal rights and equal opportunities. For the last 50 decades tribal radical activist extremist separatist maori have chosen to systematically break down our society and our democracy under the false guise of being indigenous and being agreived by colonisation and the constant using of the complete and utter barstidisation of the original treaty of waitangi and its intent, the prescribed bastardisation of the truth behind the signing of the treaty, the abscence of truth about the true ruthless and brutal tribal history of maori and the deliberate attempt to take control by elite radical activist extremist separatist tribaI Maori who are using every trick in the book to rake control by 2040. I have had an absolute gutfull of the racist rhetoric, the barstidisation of our history, the over reaching of the WT and the indoctrination of false history in our schools and universities. I make it quite clear that I believe maori and the other 159 cultures that now make up our multicultural society are all colonists of one form or another. We have all chosen to live here and make this our home. Maori came in their wakas, the europeans and other nationalities came in sailing ships and the latest waves have come by plane. We are all colonists including maori. There is not and never will be in this day and age an actual indigenous NZer. David is very right to fight for equality, democracy and right of every NZer no matter what race or colour to be able to share that equality and democracy. I voted act for the first time in my life last election because about 2 weeks before the election I realised that chris luxon was a whimp. I was so disdappointed as i held such fsith that he eould reverse all the erong doing of jacinderism. I truely brlieve he has been groomed by john key and potaka with the way he has ignorantly dealt with these spevific issues and reneged on his ore election intent and in so doing nhas shat all over his voting peers that trusted him. He did well in the election as the many just wanted to ensure that jacinderism and the Labour green and TPM disaster of a govt was simply GONE. Luxon has proved that in this issue he is no better. He is playing right into the unscrupulous hsnds of the UN and WEF who want corrupt socislistic world domination. Jacinda was part of their regime and i believe that luxon is too wether knowingly or unknowingly. The maori cheifs ceded doverignty to the crown for several reasons. They were not forced to do this. They chose to do this. They feared a french takeover. They were tired of their own brutal tribal warring, the slavery and the cannabolism that was decreasing their population at a great rate of knots. They wanted peace and trade and a better life than they had. They wanted what the new wave of colonisers had to offer. Even Apirana Ngata voiced that Maori had been treated well by the crown. All this perpetual racism and divisive rhetoric and indoctrination by way of mistruths has to stop. We are now nearly 200 years on and NZ is today the evolution of the 160 cultures that have all given to the evolvement and current multicultural society that exists today. Waitangi tribunal are overstreatching their initial intent and laeful boundaries and quite frankly over run by radicals and self serving people hand picked by labour. There is no balance of justice within WT and it needs to be disbanded. From what was 5claims has now evolved into over 10,000 claims and it will mot stop until tpm and elite tribal radical activist extremist separatist racist Maori have control of everything. Luxon needs to grow some man parts if that is remotely possible and stand up against all the colour and racist politics that is now controlling our country and our parliament.

@@paulc7190 waitangi settlements are between self elevating freemason traitors and their political counterparts! I would love to see where the funds from their settlements actually goes because as far as I can see the best they have to offer are education grants. Ownership IS the issue. Land was set aside for the settlers...the settlers wanted more. When Maori said no , the settlers breached the treaty and took it. This Is readily provable history. But the beuracracy class care little for indigenous populations wherever they go. Evident with seymour and his further attack on our declaration of independence.

Spoke at the treaty's centennial In 1940 Sir, Apirana Ngata spoke at a ceremony to re-enact the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. In his speech, he: Acknowledged that the first article of the treaty gave New Zealand's sovereignty to Queen Victoria and her descendants So to honest, The Way HRH Elizabeth , God Rest Her Soul, Had been dishonored, sad. Encouraged Pākehā to recognize the uniqueness of Māori culture . Affirmed Māori commitment to the British Empire during World War II DONE. Expressed misgivings about the centennial year, noting that Māori had approached it with grievances about lost lands, humbled chiefs, and scattered culture . To read and Ponder will I. 🐍⚖️

A solution:- In this country we need to lift the sovereignty profile of old and recent settlers to the level that many Maori now aspire to. The monarchy of all citizens. Over decades becoming independent of the British Crown, while remaining in the Commonwealth.

I believe all kiwi have the right to debate and discuss any subject. That’s our right of free speech. Having an open debate in parliament is what defines a democratic culture. There is no reason why we shouldn’t debate the treaty bill. But why are individual Māori so determined to shut it down? I simply can not understand their argument as if there is none or they are being intentionally deceptive by their obvious avoidance of open discussion and aggressive stance? That makes me suspicious. Clearly they have a longer term, alternative outcome in mind that s not being spoken. I am reminded of the old saying. At every crossroad on the path to the future awaits a thousand men, determined to retain the past and their entitlement.

It's not just 'individual Māori'. Have you seen the current hīkoi. Māori are pretty united on this, can all of us be wrong? This isn't about equal rights, that already exist by the way, this is about seymour getting votes and doing the bidding of the Atlass Netwerk
